The tattoo artist did an excellent job with the script! YAY for a celebration tattoo - it's darling

I had the exact same problem post surgery - my solution was savory liquids: Tomato Soup, V8, broths, etc. I drank Water only for my hydration. Try things in teeny little bits at different temperatures - that may help you handle the sweetness also. Good luck!

My coffee restriction from day one has been 1 8oz portion a day. I didn't start drinking coffee again however until about 2 weeks ago (6 weeks post op), but only because I wasn't wanting it before then. I had forgotten how great of a morning hello coffee is!!

Honestly, as time goes on it's gotten easier for me to manage drinking/eating and spacing everything out. I've gotten comfortable with the foods I can eat that make me feel the best and drinking spaced out that prevents me throwing up said food. Be patient with yourself and the process and it'll happen

I didn't have near the drive to my clinic (only 4 hours round trip), but I completely understand the frustration. Every time something was rescheduled it was enough to make me want to cry because it was a whole day event. I hope you can get the surgery done within your needed window - stick with it if you can because in the end, the sleeve is totally worth it.

I use these rather frequently. They haven't given me any trouble - their carb count is around 22 or 23 so if/when I eat one, I'm careful with my carbs the rest of the day. They taste good however and I can only get through 1/2 of one at a time. Try one and see how it makes you feel!

You look great!! Congrats!

Way to go!!! I'll be 8 weeks out next week - it's exciting to see progress in such a short time!

I do follow the drinking rules, most especially no drinking 30 minutes after a meal. I still find I have time to drink
Just make sure you have a water bottle with you at all times and remind yourself to sip.

I'm 2 months out almost and I still feel really tired a lot of the time
I'm hoping to feel better soon!

I still throw up regularly and like you I believe it's because of the pace at which I'm eating. I'm still just trucking along ... almost 2 months out and 35 lbs down. Working really hard to be okay with the weight I've lost. Happy day May surgeries!

Have you tried making your own? I make a chocolate Peanut Butter Protein cookie for breakfast (I still like that flavor lol), but on pinterest, they have lots of protein granola bar ideas
Most of them include dried fruits, Protein Powder, an egg or two, honey, and oats. I think Quest bars (at GNC) also make some fruit flavors. Those are super high protein and low carb for sure.

I take a biiiiig breath, like I'm trying to settle my tummy. I've realized this is my signal for belly is full.

That makes sense for sure. Thanks!

I'm especially curious as to why to eat slowly. I find it very difficult to do. Knowing why will help me out. Thanks!

Heck yeah!!! Way to go

I have read on here that sometimes hunger is really acid pain disguised. Other posters have mentioned an OTC acid reducer - maybe that's an option?

Very cool! Good luck!

I'll be looking to this thread for some ideas. As of now, I get my Protein from Protein Bars and meats I choke down as I cannot do shakes either. I hope you can find some good ideas!
