I have not been banded yet and what Jasmine is going through is my biggest fear. I am afraid of getting the band and still not being able to control my eating. I know there is no end to this struggle we all face with weight issues but I was hoping for something to make it easier to take off and maintain. Does anyone have any regrets?

I live in PA as well. What part of PA do you live? I live in York. Anyway, I am looking for a fill dr. for after I get banded in March. How much do Fill Center's USA cost? What was your experience with them?

Hey I was wondering where do you purchase the davinci Peanut Butter Syrup? Can you get it at the grocery store or GNC or Vitamin World?

This has nothing to do with your post. I just happened to notice that you had your surgery July 13th and you lost 79lbs already???? Is that right? That is wonderful! What is your secret? I haven't been banded yet but I plan to get it done in March.

Hey this may be a dumb question but I noticed everyone saying Decaf. So after you are banded you can have caffine???

<p>I too empathize with you...I have been over weight my whole life. I have tried so many diets over the years only to take it off and put more back on. This last time, I swore I would never gain it back! Guess what...I did and gained even more again! I too feel like a failure some times. I feel defeated by this monster. But you know what? Alcoholics and drug addicts don't get better by themselves. People who are sick with other things take medication or have surgeries all the time to get well. What make this any different? I am tired! I'm just 32 but I have wasted it being fat and miserable. I always say if I'm not on a diet then I'm gaining. I can't stay on a diet the rest of my life relying on my own will all the time. I get tired! Why not get some help. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have made my decision...I am saving my $$$ and I should have enough by March. Actually, I think I am going to choose Dr. Rod as well. I have heard nothing but great things about him and the staff there. I'm glad no one is blasting me on here for going to Mexico. Almost everyone I know is telling me I'm going to get butchered.

How did you feel after the surgery? Were you in pain? Where did you have to fly back to? I live in PA and I'm worried that the flight and the pain will be too much....

Hey I'm new here too. I haven't been banded yet either. I just made the decision to get it done recently. I told a few people and got a negative reaction as well. My sister is the only one who understands. She is in the process of getting a by-pass.

People say the dumbest things to me. "It's will power"... or "you have to address why your over weight in the first place", and my favorite..."your lazy and you just want the easy way out".

I had to make this decision for myself! You shoud too. Only you understand how unhappy you are...

Hey everyone! My name is Kat. I am saving my $$$ as we speak to get my band in March. Any input you can give me would be greatly appreciated! I do have a few questions though...

I am getting my band in Mexico. Is there anyone out there who was banded there? What was your experience? Who was your Doc?

I can't get my surgery until March but want to lose weight now before hand. Can anyone give me some tips on how to get down when you're an emotional/compulsive over eater? Has anyone tried OA? :hungry:
