Surgery in 2 weeks haven't told my fam.
It's just such a personal thing. Uncomfortable somewhat that my weight problem is to be treated as an open forum of discussion. Then to be judged on my choice to address it. To be told it's the easy way out. Or to be told it's so dangerous why would I do that? Or to have to explain over and over again the process and clear up misconceptions. Uneducated on the differences between the wls options, people often assume you're getting bypass. Nothing wrong with that if it's your choice but frustrating to have to explain. Then I feel like they're looking at me closer and I feel so self conscience already. Forget it. Just my husband my daughter and my niece know and a few people who have gone through it already. I'm not telling anyone else. My mom will worry and freak out. She's wigging out over my gallbladder surgery for Friday as it is. I worry about her with her own things to deal with. Eventually I will explain to her probably but for now you guys are my main support group. Thanks for being there and for understanding.

How long off work?
I haven't had the surgery yet, but I've been told 2 wks is what I'll have off. I think I'm going to try to get 3. I work as a front end manager of a grocery store. I check, handle money for all of the drawers, bounce around like a mad woman, face shelves and dairy, and usually lift nothing heavier than a 12 pack of soda. It's not the most physical job but it keeps me on my feet 90% of my shift or more. I want to be as capable as possible to do my job when I get back. Most of the days I work, I don't even have the luxury of a break we're too busy. I'm worried I won't have time to do the things I need to do to stay on track.

gallbladder out on the 11th
So 6 weeks is ridiculous. I'm not going to go to work and pull grocery loads or stock cases and lift heavy items. I should be Able to go back after a week and be OK then? I'm saving my other 2 wks off for my sleeve surgery in July.

gallbladder out on the 11th
OK so I've never had surgery ever . I was nervous so I talked about it on here and received support and a lot of people told me about their first hand experiences with that surgery. Most of them said that it's not a hard surgery and one week later they went back to work. Today a girl that works for the same company I do told me she took 6 weeks off and that I shouldn't be rushing back after one week. I can't be out for that long. I am a front end manager at a grocery store. I cashier and am on my feet all day running all over and lift things. I don't lift extremely heavy stuff nothing larger than a 36 pack of beer lol. I don't want complications after because I rushed back. Is one week enough time to go back if I take it easy? Really concerned and scared now.

Told not to lose weight?
Yea I definitely need to hit the gym. I planned on going Saturday to hit the weights and the treadmill and tan. I feel better when I tan. Idk why but it feels like I'm thinner lol.

Told not to lose weight?
Same with me. The most I've lost is 95lbs. At one time. Back on it came.

Told not to lose weight?
I'm in the same boat as you. I was at 40bmi. Told to not drop weight and instead I've gained 6lbs in 3 months. I feel horrible and want to go the other way. Hope time goes quickly. I'll be going in for surgery around July.

13 weeks
Approximately 13 weeks til surgery. It sounds closer if I go by weeks. I am ready now . Wish it was tomorrow. That tomorrow will eventually be here I know but each day carrying this extra unwanted weight around is so hard. I feel sick most days no matter what I eat. I am having gallbladder surgery on 4/11 hopefully that helps. Can't wait to be posting success pics with the rest of you, God willing. Good luck to all my fellow sleevers. Keep those posts coming. You help so many people! Thank you
