April 16th role call - who's with me!

Ok ladies and gents I have known about this product for some time now but wanted to wait until I did surgery before using it. Im sharing this with you all because l know we all are going to have the issue with loose skin as we continue losing weight. Have you guys heard of the "It Works Wrap"? Well it basically helps to tone, tighten and firm your skin. Like loose belly skin for example, on your arms, chin, neck, legs and back. It helps with cellulite and stretch marks as well! I will show before and after pics of my friends and family and even husband. Its Awesome!!! Let me know if you want more info you can go to my facebook Like page, www.facebook.com/leanbodymakeover and shoot me a message so I can give you all the details.

April 16th role call - who's with me!

Great results everyone! Next week will be 1 month, lets kick butt! No worries Bluesea, we're a team here! Ok so I tried the infamous tuna with mayo today, I was so afraid to get sick after reading everyones experience and omg thank goodness I only ate 1/3 of the can. I felt so icky full, felt like I just left a buffet. Im feeling better now, no puking thank god but it felt really heavy in my tummy and a little nauseas. So needless to say I will not be eating tuna again anytime soon. I will give chicken salad a try next week.

Mysleeve I know how you feel. I had issues with cottage cheese this week, I started to feel nauseas so I stopped eating it this week. I also cant stand greek yogurt anymore. You are not alone Mysleeve. I hope you can get back to eating your foods you were eating, until then just take it slow and one day at a time.

    4 Things I Wish I Would've Known Pre Op

    - I wish I wouldve known that my taste buds would change. - I wish I wouldve known that the 3 week stall can happen in the first month postop. - I wish I wouldve known how weak and lack of energy I would be the first week. - I wish I wouldve known how much emotions are involved in the process. - I wish I wouldve known how difficult it would be to sleep the first week. - I wish there were more posts like this to help all those preop patients on here. Everyone's experience is different. I am grateful I never threw up and didnt have complications. Im 3 weeks postop and no more pain or gas. But I do have constipation issues and some acid reflux that is being controlled with prilosec. I am currently on 11 day stall, but I have lost 19lbs total. I am happy to be a sleever and I know this is only a tool. We must follow our food stages and exercise for this tool to be a success!

April 16th role call - who's with me!

Im totally with you Bluesea! Hoping our 3 week mark is a lucky one tomorrow morning! On a good note I just woke up with a loud bubbly tummy and ran into the bathroom (ok maybe not run exactly lol) and finally had a BM after being constipated for a whole freaking week!!! WooHoo Go Me!! I feel like I dropped 5lbs in that toilet, TMI I know lol. Ok Im going back to sleep with my fingers crossed for tomorrow's check-in.

    Feeling a little down.

Casie I know how you feel. Im 3 weeks postop and already at a 9 day stall. Ive lost 19lbs total and I know my body is in shock mode. Whether Im retaining Water, being constipated, eating puree foods now, etc. It can be just about anything that has me on this stall but I know for a fact I will come off it and the weight will continue to drop. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Stay positive!

    1 Week Stall already!?

Thanks everyone for your comments. I know this is just bump on the road. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Mysleeve, I think switching to puree foods has also caused me to stall and the fact that I been constipated for days. Ughh who knows, just got my fingers/toes crosssed that Im not stuck for weeks. Melodica, trust me being on here has helped me tremondously as well. Reading everyones stories, comments and issues has really helped me. Its like a therapy session for me to be able to come on here and vent or just simply ask questions and for your opinions. In fact this particular forum is my favorite. I have learned so much from all of you.

I don't know if it's right for me

Kelsey Keep in mind that the surgery is just a tool. You have to put your all for it to be a success for you. I wish you the best with you decision and remember we are here for you if you need to vent, ask questions etc. Good Luck!

    here i am!

Wow! Congrats on your weight loss success! 70lbs in 4 months is awesome! You give me hope as right now Im currently on a 9 day stall. Im 3 weeks postop and have lost 19lbs so far, Ive been worried not losing for the past 9 days but after talking to a couple friends that are fellow sleever vets I have calmed down a little. Im just so anxious to continue losing the weight, just to see a pound less will give me joy but I need to patient cause I know my body is in shock mode right now from the rapid weight loss so hoping by the weekend I will see a few pounds less on the scale. Ok sorry I went into venting mode there lol Fingers crossed. Good Luck and congrats on your wls journey!

    so sad :(

Fellow Sleever, look at your success! Youve lost 67lbs, that is wonderful! You will come to a stall sometimes as my Dr has told me. But your not at a stall at all, your just slowing down. You will continue to lose and you will reach your goal. Stay positive.

Think I am getting over the hump

Susan Wow congrats on your success! Glad you are feeling better and having a smoother journey! Good Luck on your journey!
  19. I am sure we all will make a mistake in our food options, whether its on purpose or accident. Learn from it and move on. Eventually we will be able to have those yummy foods we miss or crave, its just all about portion portion portion. Good Luck on your journey!
  20. Jnette I asked my surgeon and he gave me the ok for the hot tub. He said as long as incisions are closed and healed. Enjoy the bubbles!

    I just want to cry

Erin You have done exellent with your weight loss of 30lbs in 3 weeks Wow!! Congrats on your success. Now as far as the dairy, I know it sucks but keep in mind its just for a few weeks. Eventually you will have more variety on your menu. How about having Jello or sugar free pudding, hummus, unsweetened applesauce. Ask your Nut about these foods. Im allowed to have them so I dont see why your Nut would have a problem with them. Good Luck on your journey and remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

April 16th role call - who's with me!

Ok so I spoke to a sleeve vet today, she had her surgery over a year ago and also another girl that had it 2 weeks before me. They helped me with my 9 days of no weight loss panic. Our bodies are in shock with the fast weight loss, which I already knew and our bodies are trying to hold onto all those fat cells. It can be so many things, retaining Water etc. I need to calm down and realize that the weight will continue to drop. This is a new experience, new life, new journey, new ME that I need to learn to take it slow and let things be. Sigh...easier said than done.

April 16th role call - who's with me!

Bluesea, I think its all the above. I was told if I puked a particular food to not eat it again for a while. I assume its cause our tummy couldnt handle that particular food yet. I do know if you eat too fast you will puke as well as drink and eat at the same time. Reason being because your tummy is already full and cant handle everything at once. Thats why we're told to wait about 30 mins before drinking something after eating. On a different note, how do you block someone on here? There is a particular user on here that is very sarcastic and cold when they comment on your posts and I so dont appreciate it. I dont want to entertain them so I havent replied to their stupid comment. I mean all of their comments are very short, sarcastic and condescending. Thats so annoying and irritating cause everyone on here comes for help, to vent, and for support. The last thing we need is for some idiot to come at you sideways.

April 16th role call - who's with me!

Hi Bluesea! Oh my, so you didnt have a good experience with it then. Hmm yea I think Im going to wait it out anyway. Ive been doing so good with my food stages and havent puked once, I had nausea plenty of times but no puking. Thanks for sharing!
  25. NJKelly You are having all the normal feelings and emotions we all go thru just before our surgery day. I am almost 3 weeks postop and I can tell you this was the best decision I made for my health. Yes the first week is the toughest, yes you will have head hunger but it will pass cause your going to feel full and satisfied with everything you drink or eat. Trust me once you start seeing those pounds drop on the scale is going be the best feeling in the world! Just remember each day gets better and easier. Follow your Dr's and Nut's orders and you will be fine I wish you the best on your journey!
