  1. Glad to hear things are starting to come together for you! I am 4 days out now and things are pretty good - I got two shakes in yesterday!
  2. @@hrhlaurie - My feelings were very similar to yours - I kept thinking, maybe I don't need to have the surgery, maybe this time will be different - but I also kept coming back to I couldn't do it on my own before. I was sleeved on Tuesday, got up and started walking within two hours and was able to come home late Wednesday afternoon. Mostly cramps and gas pains at first but they've pretty much gone now. Amazing that I am not hungry at all - especially since my intake has been so low. I got one shake in yesterday.
  3. Todays the day ! I'm nervous / anxious / excited / and a bunch more emotions all rolled into one. This is my first time ever in a hospital and my first surgery, Just a few hours until I'm sleeved.
  4. Sleeved yesterday (5/27) at 10:30 AM and home today (5/28) at 5:00 - except for some gas pain and mild cramping I am feeling pretty good.

    Vitamins

Are they nasty? Lol... I have a weak stomach an in a little worried about throwing up. Does it have that chalky feel on your teeth an in ur mouth? They are a litle sweet / funky tasting but inexpensive - once you get used to them they are not bad and it's just a few seconds each day. These were ok'd & recomended by my NUT. She said I could buy more expensive ones but that they have the same Vitamins and minerals in them.

    Surgery with your spouse?

I am scheduled for my VSG surgery on May 27th - my wife currently has a band (3 yrs) but is meeting with the same surgeon I am going to on the 21st for her first visit to talk about a Band to Sleeve revision - she is having problems no being able to keep things down. Exactly - we thought going through this together would help support each other.

    EGD while awake?

I had mine about two weeks ago and what ever they gave me I don't remember it at all. It's like lost time - I lost about 20 mins - one minute I was talking with the doctor then next I was sitting up in the recovery area.
