Congratulations on a successful surgery! & we all need a place to rant- especially with a major lifestyle change that comes with having weight loss surgery. I'm almost 3 years (3 years in May) post op Lap Band, and I have had a couple of situations where co-workers were worried about the amount of food I was eating when we would go out on staff lunches, which can be frustrating! But once they realized I had surgery, then the worry goes away.
I would mentally prepare for the comments- usually people do not do it to "tease" you about food, but it can be hard the first couple of weeks for people to get used to your new lifestyle & for you to adjust as well. Once that time goes by, the comments usually stop. If it continues, I would speak with them about how even though they think they are being supportive, that apologizing about eating in front of you isn't necessary. & once you move on to regular foods, there shouldn't be anything to comment about (except then you'll get comments about your weight loss)

I agree with the above comments about running on an empty stomach- but making sure you are hydrated. Running seriously changed my whole body during the first year of my weight loss post-lap band. I started slow, alternating between walking & jogging, and eventually built up to running 5 miles, 4 times a week in the mornings before work.
To beat the hunger that comes from running- I always followed up with something that had Protein and carbs (usually a Protein shake with fruit)- and it helps. Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day as well.
Best of Luck with your new fitness accomplishment! I hope it treats your body as well as it did mine
