  1. Well, let me start by telling you that this is the best thing that you did for yourself. You just recently had surgery and you will have a couple of ups and down, this is very normal! But wait until the weight start dropping off of you! I had my surgery on October 22, and it hasn't been a year yet and I currently hit the 100 loss mark. (everyone tells me to stop losing:thumbup:) I weighed 237 when I went in for surgery and now I am 137. I still can't believe it. I have never been this small. I wear size 4 and 6 now. never in my life would I thought that I would be this size!!! And that is from an 18/20(I still go to the plus size and grab clothes that are that size) So don't get discouraged, keep your head up and drop me a line once in a while

  2. Not all Walgreens have them, but the one by my house does. And the good thing is that I get a military discounts on Tuesdays which helps a lot because I'm on my third Squeem Lol and they certainly are not cheap! I also bought a couple other one at Fajas, Faja, Fajas Colombinas y Brasileras Reductoras y Modeladoras they also have a couple of good ones there and they have periodic sales and I got 3 different ones plus 2 other body suits all a little over 100.00 because if you spend over 100.00 you get a free one! check them out (i'm not affiliated with them by any means, just love a great deal)

  3. I purchased one at Walgreens called SQUEEM, at first it was very uncomfortable so I only wore it at home, after time it became part of me and i wear it everyday to work! I feel naked when I don't put it on. everyone asks me about it (comfort) It does help with loosing the weight because it tightens your midsection as you loose. My surgery date was October 22, 2008 and my highest weight was 237 and as to date I have lost a total of 78lbs (need to update my ticker! ) I currently weigh 156 hoping to loose another 20lbs or so. but let me tell you something I FEEL LIKE A NEW WOMAN!!!

  4. Babe,

This is your hubby just want to congradulate you on getting this surgery. I know this is something you have been wanting to do for a while and I talked you out of it once, but I am really happy that you got it done finally:thumbup:. Once you set your mind to something thats it. Love you, Boo.

  5. There is a thread in here somewhere where you can donate your clothes to whomever is in need that is transitioning from sizes too quickly. That helps a lot because you lose weight too fast and it gets quite expensive to be buying clothes every other week. you just let them know what you have and maybe arrange a way for them to pick it up, or ship it to them. or you could make a quick buck by posting them on e-bay (Just Saying) Hope that this helps you some.:thumbup:Congrats on your weight loss!

  6. Hi Jack, I also checked my options in train , but it is taking me longer than 3 days that way, so i think that I'm going to stick to Kathys advice, I am now checking doctors in Monterrey and Dr. Sanchez seems like an option for me, the only problem is that greyhound does not have a stop in monterrey, they have a stop in Mata Morros Mexico. it supposed to be close to Monterrey, I will call tommorow to Dr. Sanchez # and find out what they are willing to do for me, They are very accomodating people, they will go the extra mile

Kathy Thank You for researching this for me, that is one of the reasons I picked LBT.com, everyone here is so friendly and helpfull!!!

  7. Hello to everyone, I'm new here although I've been in the background for a month or so. I've been researching the lap-band and by now I'm very certain that I will get it done. I've been calling doctors in Mexico to get quotes on package prices. My only problem is that I don't like to fly, therefore my only option is to go Greyhound(takes almost 3 days). I also checked the prices here in Tampa Florida, and they are almost three times what they are quoting me in Mexico. You see i'm selfpay and every penny counts. It may sound very crazy to go this way and by myself but its the only option that I have. I just recently moved to Tampa from the Virgin Islands(St. Croix). My husband is here on Active Duty with the Air Force, I started researching the Lap-band because they don't do these type of surgeries at home. They usually send you abroad for any major surgery.

I also have been looking around in the other forums but there isn't any other like this one.
