So I just wanted to give a 25 day update to help people like myself who almost backed out of surgery. I am feeling pretty good and I am only on the soft food stage of my post op diet. I eat brocolli cheese Soup & yogurt daily along with unjury chicken soup Protein. I have lost 35lbs. as of today and have dropped from a 54" waist to a 48" waist already. I am a big muscular guy so my weight was 384 at surgery and today 349 and already getting compliments. The 1st picture was the final straw that made me look into gastric sleeve & the 2nd picture was taking today at work.

Since this thread keeps getting looks I will use it for my 1 year update (that was hit yesterday 2/23/15). I am down 136lbs. and almost to my goal weight. I have a very healthy lifestyle now and work out at least 3-4 days a week. I love my new life and I couldn't gave done it without the tool of gastric sleeve surgery. My only regret is that I didn't do it before. -
I am 7 months out and have gone from a 54" to a 40" so far. Shirt size from a 3-4xl to a 2xl (almost xl) with 50 more pounds to go. Feels great to see everybody's accomplishments.
-
My only regret was not doing it sooner. I missed out on 10 years of a better life. I am a different, happier guy now.

I can't believe how my season is going (0-3) after winning my league last year. This sucks!!!
-
It's amazing how weak you feel when you go back to the gym. But I am now 6+ months post op and lifting heavy again. Just take it very slow at first.
-
Excited to announce that I have broken the 100lbs. lost mark. I have officially lost 101 lbs. as of today!!! I am 6 months out.
-
The more you can walk the better you will feel. Hard to believe when you are there but true.
-
Good luck!!!! It is a life changer!!! As far as loose skin I was freaking out about it also, but so far so good. I also lost 120 lbs. slowly before and had no loose skin, and this time I am down 105 lbs. so far with no loose skin issues so far.

Thought I would add 1 more selfie ... I turned 41 on Monday and wore this affliction 2xl shirt for the 1st time (I have owned it for 5 years).

Try chewing some gum to trick your mind.

I am hoping that my plan of attack works for me. I have lost 101 lbs. so far and my skin seems to be shrinking with me. But I have went back to lifting for these last 50 pounds I need to lose yet. It may slow down the weight lose but hoping I can change my body composition at the same time. My biceps went from 18.5" to 16.75" during this loss so far but no extra skin so we are working hard to pump them back up to 18". My chest went from 56" to 49" also so we are hitting the chest hard also to increase muscle mass. My fingers are crossed that it works. If I fail I will just have to look good in clothes. lol

Well my A- didn't get me a win. Why did I ever chose anybody from the Raiders. lol

Thanks. Feeling great and excited for the rest of the weight to be gone. It is very motivating to be this far.

Walking as much as possible from day 1. I bought a bike to ride after 4 months. I am now working out 4 days a week with a trainer.
-
I tried for the 10 days prior to surgery ... failed at it though. It is much easier to change your lifestyle after the surgery.
-
Pretty much what you listed but I also bought the Unjury Chicken Soup.
-
I shaved my chest & stomach a few days prior.
-
Yahoo gave me an "A" grade for my picks last night. How did the rest of you do according to Yahoo?
-
You just have to learn to adapt and be aware of your limitations at first. I am now 6 months out (which flew by) and no longer am having any energy level issues. Of course the almost 100lbs. lost is the key!!!

I'm in ... I was sitting at the computer last night waiting for the draft. I thought we were doing a live draft then noticed it said it was auto draft. If we are doing auto draft it doesn't matter what time the draft occurs. I was excited to see 9 teams yesterday but confused when I saw 6 this morning.

What happened with the draft yesterday & when did we have a commissioner change???
