  1. We will get thru this ladies..i had DS surgery on may 7th and lost 33 lbs by june 2nd..have not lost a pound since then..i know my body is playing catch up to my weight loss..my highest weight was 372 in December..and i lost 42 lbs by the day od my surgery. It has been a struggle getting in all the Protein and fluids, but i am a work in progress. I finally see the doctor for my 1 month followup on tuesday. I am going to bombard him with a zilllion questions

  2. One of the local nutrition shops sell it here and i will be buying it..he charges 40 but i had a coupon and got it for 30...i asked the nutritionist if it was ok to use since they said not to consume Iron and Calcium at the same time, and she said it was fine to use, but when bloodwork is done in a few months if there is a deficiency in cal ium or iron i would need to take a separate Vitamin for it.

  3. I never really changed my mind per se, but it is definitely an emotional journey.. as someone who has been overweight their whole life it is very emotionally difficult to transition from eating everything practically to being so restricted.. i just had ds surgery 6 days ago and i am still experiencing head hunger..i know what i did is for the best and the eventual results hopefully will support that but the first several days are challenging.

  4. My BMI is 49

Them there shouldnt be an issue..i have aetna and they required 3 months of weighins...a nutritionist appt, and also by the time of your weigh in you can't weigh more than your first consultation weight..they also want your documented weight for the last 2 years.. i only had it for 1 and they sent a picture for the other but it was still approved. Ive read the whole entire thread of this and it seemed several people were having problems with the documentation, but at my surgeons office they said thats more of an issue with people who barely qualify..so usually people who had bmis hovering around 40 or so

  5. Had surgery on may 7th..i must had a weird reaction to the anesthesia becsuse i waz so groggy yesterday..they kept me an extra night because my Iron and pottassium were low..plus my surgery didnt even get done til 4pm wednesday..i am feeling much much better today..getting fluids down and my stomach only really hurts when i get up

  6. Congrats on your weight loss so far! We have about the same stats.. my all time highest weight in december was 372..as of my last weigh in i was 336, although im convinced i have gained a few of those lbs back over the past couple of weeks. I wouldn't worry too much about what your coworker says. Most people are ignorant about weight loss. I'm pretty sure most people here have went through several yo yo diets, losing a good amount of weight only to gain it back plus more. I know tons about losing weight but just couldn't keep it off, which resulted in deciding to get surgery.
