  1. I've been consistently drinking the Protein shakes since September so I'd be used to them at least once a day.... I am in love with my sports bottle blender. I blend it the night before, and then refrigerate it so the froth goes away. I find that I can't mix the powders well enough without the blender. I also really like the Premier Protein ready-made shakes and the pure protein read-made shakes. I start my pre-op Friday and have my massive variety of individual powders from Nashua Nutrition as well as my 12 bottles of pure protein.
  2. My a-ha moment was realizing I'm not the only one. From the info session at my drs office and this site - I see how many people are like me and feel like me and are fighting the good fight against their lifelong weight. For so long I felt so alone in this world of heaviness - and then I met you guys!
  3. Aww I hope it is @@mrsbailey921 ! Glad you like it
  4. Thanks guys.... I guess it's just nice to know I'm being heard. That's why I love this site - it's like my get away with people who totally get me and who don't know me, but at least seem concerned about my well-being. I can't even pretend this is something new. Or like I'm going to do something about my unhappiness... It's just nice to get it out.
  5. For my daughter.... only answer I've had for 2 years.
  6. I have 6 more days until pre-op liquid..... good bye yummy foods!!! :-(
  7. I need to stop holding my feelings in and just type! I always feel better when I type out my thoughts because it feels like such a release. My fiance and I have been having this argument since we first moved in together 2 years ago.... he wants me to be interested in his computer games and video games and anime and comics, and I want him to leave me alone lol. Last night we had discussion again that we don't do anything together besides errands, and drs appts and visiting our daughter. His response? I never get to do what I want to do. So is it more important to find time together or have time to do your own things? And why do you have to do something that only one person likes? Together time should be watching a movie, playing a game, night out..... not sitting around playing League of Legends.... But he had the nerve to tell me that I should like his stuff because he sits back and listens to me rant about my surgery and this site.... that I include him in my "interests" even if he really doesn't care. Doesn't care about my surgery?! Since when is surgery and my health an interest?! Well, that just proves that it's just as infantile as his games to him. Figured the 'support' and 'concern' was fake....
  8. @@Elode I can live off just seafood and be happy lol
  9. @@Ky89 Oh sweetheart..... I could not understand you better.... I was the awkward friend. There's a reason I was always the designated driver - I was afraid of making a fool of myself more than I was already, just being heavy and hanging around all of these smaller, more fun people. I wish I could have went for this WTS sooner. But my daughter came into my life first.... so the life of parties, and bars, and trying to lure in guys went out the window. But part of me wished I had the chance to do it all over again - as a smaller girl. I commend you for being so honest about your feelings, and NEVER apologize for voicing them or posting them. It's healthier than holding it in. You are a fellow Dec sleever - and I wish you the most luck! Know that you are beautiful, and you will continue being beautiful sleeve or no sleeve. Have this surgery, and live it up for us fat girls who came before you and didn't get the chance to enjoy our teens and twenties like you still can! Show them what you got!!!

  11. @@LipstickLady @@bobbyswife - you are both such beautiful women! Amazing things you both have done and continue to do! As someone who has always worked in the service industry, you see how dishonest and money hungry these people can be. An aspiring preacher/ex-rape victim who was at the time homeless just needed a room at my hotel so she could get clean and go back and forth to interviews. She was low on cash, and I helped her with her bill as an anonymous donor so she could have the extra time to get on her feet. I would just want to know someone would take care of me that way if I ever was that far down on my luck.
  12. So you can get the whole thing down???? Thats what I was wondering and worried about.... whether or not we can actually get in that much liquid at a time
  13. Sweet!!! That is pure luck!! That's actually my last day of solids lol! Do you make a full shake and just refrigerate for the rest of the day to take it in periodically? I'm wondering if I should go grab some small tubberware for easy shake making
  14. @@Elode I like when healthy food actually tastes yummy lol.... Let me know how long it takes for the pureed, soft and real food stages!!!
  15. I had another moment today that made me think - I want to wear a pair of pants or leggings and NOT have the inner thighs wear out quick from all the friction....
  16. Haha thanks - I had a philosophical moment after doing some mass healthy cooking (frozen meals, though healthy = hubby won't go hungry starting next week lol)
  17. @@bobbyswife good one!!!! I am thankful to learn who I am as a person emotionally and spiritually before learning who I will be physically. I'm beautiful - now to make the binding of the book look like the pages. I am thankful for learning to know a person for so much more than the outer appearance and for looking for friends and a lover for who they are internally, and if the external is nice looking, then yay me! lol I am also thankful for the obese me learning how to be tough. When you are overweight, you have to learn how to have a thick skin and how to take care of yourself when things get emotionally out of control. If it weren't for me being heavy - I don't think I'd be the tough chick who stands tall and can make it through the insanity I live in daily.
  18. chicken sausage for me lol.... I've been told no pork - and no steak.... and no chicken skin.... just no lol

  23. @@Elode I'm looking forward to that first black skimpy dress lol
  24. Awww I am loving this post!!! I am thankful to @@CowgirlJane - if it wasn't for her in the beginning, I don't know if I would have had the courage to go for the sleeve rather than lapband.... she's also an amazing inspiration - girl you look good!!!! @@Mami5Boys for reassuring me about our doctor and being so informative about the surgery and steps. (Congrats on the recent surgery btw!) and of course @@bobbyswife - only 3-4 more weeks for both of us! Thanks for joining me on my daily rants and expeditions!
  25. @@pinkbunies I hope things have gotten better in the past 2 weeks. I have all these issues before the surgery, so this is making me wonder if getting the surgery will just amplify it all.... He worries already that I will leave.... fights about our daughter, money, how he makes more than I do (I work more hours so it comes out almost equal).... We also have the major differences of race and religion and how we were both respectively raised.... Those seem to come up the most. His family obviously doesn't like me - haven't for the past 3 years... but I continue trying for my daughter's sake. There's no ring, no piece of paper.... just a joint leased apartment and a little girl with his features, my skin color, and my personality....
