Any sleevers in Northern NJ?
@@Newme4113 The numbers at the end just stood out so much to me - that's my daughter's birth date :-) I've been seeing him since August - had a date but had to cancel due to knee dislocation. Hoping for an end of January date once I'm done with physical therapy. All my tests are done and I was completely cleared and approved for the surgery. His office is beyond disorganized and they always seem to lose messages and faxes and never remember if it's your first time there to see him or if you've been there 10 times before. I've shown up to appts 30 minutes early to still get to see him an hour and a half late. It's probably the only majorly frustrating part of this process was that entire office set up.

Thanksgiving "eve" - Positive Post and Reflection
I am thankful for: !. My baby girl - I could not have asked for anything more in a child! She's just so wonderful. 2. My parents - have always been there for me through thick and thin 3. My brother - my best friend for life 4. My sister - she's always been the greatest confidante - even being 15 years younger :-) 5. 2nd chances - Life can't be all about just living or making it through - everything will work out eventually!

Monday's POSITIVE Post!
I am thankful for my baby girl. I was told by doctors when I was younger that my weight and the PCOS would make it difficult or close to impossible to have kids - she is my miracle. Though unexpected, she is the sunshine on my darkest days. Looks like me, babbles like me (doesn't really talk yet lol), and has my personality. She is me through and through and the only person in the world I can never get upset with and will always make me smile. She is my angel, my best friend, my beauty. Nothing better than hearing those two syllable "Mommy"s :-) I am also incredibly thankful for my parents who, no matter how insane I have driven them or find ways of disappointing, they have always supported and loved me and been my biggest help with my daughter and life itself. They want to see me the best I can be, and feel this surgery is going to do exactly that!

Got my date! Dec. 10th , so excited!
@@jenmc2404 I'm on clear liquids, fat free vanilla yogurt and fat free milk for 14 days.. i start Friday! I like the Nectar fuzzy navel and vanilla bean torte... i used Nashuanutrition.com and got a bunch of the individual sample packets of all different brands and flavors of powder. I highly suggest you try that because there are certain ones i wasn't a fan of and you don't want to get stuck with a 2lb tub of gross lol

Final surgeon appointment pre-op
Hiya! I have my final appointment pre-surgery tomorrow and I'm trying to make sure I have all my questions written down so I don't forget to ask him. Anyone have anything they can possibly think of that I should ask - just want to make sure I don't leave anything out that I may not be thinking of at this moment :-)

pre-op diet?
@@Elode Yeah, I'm liking the samples- don't have to commit :-P @@laurenella82 - oh it does haha trust me.... still has that protein-y initial taste, but some schnapps would do the trick (just kidding)

I knew better but...
food funerals! I love that term lol. But yes, I have had a few days of them - hence why tonight was baked tilapia and catfish night.... I can't just wait until pre-op liquid diet to start to eat healthy again.

pre-op diet?
@@Elode the fuzzy navel wasn't bad - was more like the peach mango drinks I like. All Protein powders have that initial odd taste and smell to them until a few sips in and you get used to it. Didn't like the nectar cherry.... The Bariatric Advantage Iced coffee was definitely hard to get down. But if you like vanilla ice cream, Nectar Vanilla Bean Torte with fat free milk and ice in a blender is amazing! I did not think about popsicles though.... good call!! I think I will definitely try that!

pre-op diet?
hmmmm @@Elode I may just wait for that post surgery lol.... I have a massive amount of Protein powders too..... I did my sample buying a few weeks ago from Nashua online.... I wanted to try it all! lol

pre-op diet?
I get to do Protein drinks, fat free milk, fat free yogurt, and all Gatorade G2, Powerade Zero, Crystal Light, Decaf coffee/tea, unsweetened applesauce, SF Jello, SF popsicles Do I add protein to the jello and liquids and applesauce? How does this work? Am I only supposed to have a certain amount of things or is it unlimited because it's all technically 5 calories lol

Height, Weight, And Size Poll
I'm 5'9'' , my largest was pre-pregnancy at 364 lbs. Over the summer I had just moved into size 28 pants, wearing a 3x comfortably (alot of my maternity clothes still fit like a glove)

pre-op diet?
Sooo.... my nutiritionist and doctor did not tell me calories, how to add the Protein to my drinks or yogurt.... I'm at a loss.... I mean, realizing it 5 days before pre-op isn't the greatest, but anyone wanna give me some input? @@Mami5Boys - can you give me some input if Dr Paragi told you anything about the diet before and directly after surgery? I think I'm just in last minute panic mode lol

How Much Did You Lose Before People Noticed?
I'm still pre-op but I've lost about 24 lbs since I started my job at the end of July. My HR/accounting person noticed the second I dropped 20lbs and said I was looking good. My dad for some reason is the only one who was ever fully observatory about my weight changes. He keeps telling me I'm doing great and to keep going, you can tell. The differences I have noticed aren't really the weight change or even how I look physically, but I have that my clothes are starting to get looser. The new slacks I bought for work are now massive on me, my jeans don't need to be put on with me lying on the bed shimmying up the zipper, and this black dress I wore to the funeral the other day didn't show all the rolls it used to. And this is all pre-op! Can't wait for surgery!!!!
