5 Months Post Op, Revision Needed
Band2Sleever replied to rensterness's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Wow! Well done for losing 100 pounds. And, it sounds very stressful having to have another surgery so I hope you are doing OK with this. I sending you positive thoughts. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to keep your spirits up. Do you mind me asking what is the medical term fir what you've experienced? And what surgery you are having? Is it to untwist your stomach or is it a re-sleeve or something else? I am preop so want to make sure that I understand all the possible complications. I am still nervously waiting for a date :/ -
I had that when I was normal BMI with the lapband in. It was a bit annoying, but didn't really bother me that much because it felt like a small price to pay for being normal BMI! Now I've regimes all the weight and am waiting for a date for a sleeve. And, waiting... And, waiting... And,waiting... I hoe you feel more comfortable soon

What an amazing "good aha" moment! Keep up your great progress. It's truly inspiring. And, you should be proud of your insight on your "bad aha" moment. It sounds like good self-learning and reflection. I hope your insight helps you with your rating behaviour. Reading what you've written I am quite concerned about what happens 5... 10... 20 years out. It would be so stressful to gain back the weight many years later. -
Wow! What amazing progress. Really inspiring. Keep going

Riding That Roller Coaster: The Emotional Side of Weight Loss Surgery You Might Not Expect
Band2Sleever replied to 7 Bites_Jen's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
Great article. I'm nervously waiting preop. It feels like being on a flat part of the rollercoaster... inching forward... not sure what's going to happen next... inching inching slowly forward... not sure if it will ever speed up... inching inching inching... worried he roller coaster might slow down and I won't ever get a surgery date... inching inching ... waiting waiting .... feeling nervous and scared.... inching inching slowly... still waiting... inching inching forward... feeling scarce and anxious. Arrrrghh! Telling myself to be patient and "thus too shall pass"... thank you for that tip -
Incredible progress. Good for you Your point about avoiding the camera and the "old you" never posting photos really hit home. I can really identify with that. I avoid the camera, delete photos and never post them... hopefully that will change once I gety surgery, get back on my journey to healthy again, and get my confidence back again

It's now Saturday, about 5 days postop. How are you doing now? I hope your pain is better and you are on the mend. I just wanted to send my best wishes for your speedy recovery. I can't imagine how it must be to be postop, as I'm still nervously waiting preop.

Anyone else being sleeved in the next couple of months?
Band2Sleever replied to willow13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes! List of things I'm scared of: Scared of having surgery Scared of *not* having surgery and getting more obese Scared I won't lose weight Scared that if I do lose some weight then I'll regain and it will all have been for nothing. I agree... question.a, questions, questions, going round my head. -
Worried sleeve will not work as well as band
Band2Sleever replied to PeachyDexter's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi Only you can decide. I think I understand what you're going through. I had a band for 10 years, got to normal healthy BMI and it was great. Then had to have band removed due to serious complication. Now my BMI is obese again I am waiting for a surgery date (sleeve for me personally). Very nervous about having more surgery. Scared waiting for a date. Scared about not having surgery too, if that makes sense. Wishing you all the best with your decision . Do lots of research and maybe see different doctors. I hope it goes well for you. -
You look great! Keep them! It takes a while to adjust in your head to what you can wear
