Good Luck! I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and I love it. The first couple of days are hard but it was so worth it.

I was banded on 3/4 and I should get my first fill on Monday. My doctor put 3cc in my band at surgery so I have felt some restriction but not much. It has been will power to help me get through these last few weeks. Well good luck everyone!

I do 30-40 minutes of a walk/jog combination right now, 7 days a week. I want to add to it, but finding time is hard since I work full time and have a kid in girls scouts and softball. You just have to start somewhere and work your way up.

Good Luck tomorrow. It is a tough first couple of days and then it gets easier. 5 weeks post-op here and loving it!

I have PCOS and would love to hear if this works. I have been irregular for years. I am not looking to get pregnant soon due to just getting banded over 5 weeks ago. Good luck and keep us updated.

I just got introduced to the Quest Bars last week. I am in love. They are packed with Protein, so I eat either a 1/2 or 3/4 of one for breakfast. I love the Oreos one also. I also tried the white chocolate raspberry, it was pretty good also. I ate my last one today and need to stop and grab some tonight.

Yes Chantix helped for me. I actually didn't even finish out the week on it. Once I got past 5 days I quit taking it. I know you can do it and you have done an awesome job so far!

My doc said it was ok to chew gum. This is good information though, since I do tend to chew gum. Thanks!

I had surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago and my port hurts. So at least there is hope. When I bend over it hurts the worst. I am sure it will feel better soon, but glad I read your post.

I just got the band a little over 2 weeks ago. My doctor did give me a small fill at the time of surgery. I have 3 cc in my band. I so far love the band. Good luck on making a choice.

I am over 2 weeks out and mine is in my left side. I can feel the port and when I bend sometimes there is a slight pain but nothing that sounds like yours. I would call your doctor, it is better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!

The doctor gave me the okay for walking after the first week. I did not have a hernia so that probably helped with when I could start exercising. I have been walking almost everyday. Next week I am going to start jogging. It does feel weird that I have more motivation now than before surgery. Good Luck to everyone.

Hi, I was banded on March 4th. I am now in stage 3, the mushy foods. I am doing good and I already started walking for exercise. The doctor told me I could start walking in week 2 and jogging in week 3, but I will stick with walking until next week. I still get bad gas and I do not know if that is going to change or it is just going to always be like this. Well let me know if you want to be buddies and support each other.

I am hoping you are feeling better by now. I was banded on 3/4/14 and I returned back to work on 3/10/14. I also had the bad gas pains. If I tried to go back to work sooner I do not think I could have. I am doing so much better now and even started working out. Good luck to you.

I had my surgery yesterday. It went good. I'm really sore and not to much gas. Good luck everyone! I lost 10 lbs on my preoperative diet.

Anyone use My Fitness Pal to track food/calories?

I am also on MyFitnessPal and I do not eat back my workout calories. I usually eat around 900 calories a day on average and burn anywhere from 250-350 calories with working out. It works for me and I am down 30 pounds since the last week of March. Most was lost on the pre-op diet. Good Luck everyone!
