  1. Are you doing a liquid diet? Maybe helpful.
  2. Happy for you. Were you working in post op? Or did you let the sleeve work its magic?
  3. My surgeon recommended avoiding buying anything in bulk pre surgery being my taste buds may change post surgery. I stumbled across this after searching for sample packets that are high quality and offered a high amount of Protein. They offer 50+ samples for $1.95 each! Happy shopping... http://www.nashuanutrition.com/store/protein-powders/protein-powder-samples-1-serving.html
  4. Me too! I have BCBS and was approved same day. BCN took a little longer 2 days. Having managed care insurance complicates things. I'm scheduled 3/14, good luck to you.
  5. Real talk, I had put a 10 lb weight plate in my spanx. I was right at 35 bmi on my initial consultation. After completing my sleep study (insurance requirement) I found out I had sleep apnea. That increased my chance of being approved. I'm scheduled for 3.14. Good luck.
  6. For your pre op appt at the hospital they are going to test your blood for various items. Nicotine may be in your system, truthfully they want that to be cleared out of your system 30 days prior to surgery. Your doctor needs to know the truth to ensure your going to be treated effectively. Good luck with your journey!
  7. Happy for you! Keep is posted on your progress.
  8. Thanks for sharing! I checked out your profile....I met you at the nurse meeting on Monday. I added you as a friend so we can stay in touch. My pre op is this morning at 9:30. Good luck on Monday!!
  9. I'm 3/14, start my pre op this Friday. My surgeon allows up to do phase 1 & 2 diet with unlimited veggies and 48 hrs before surgery clear liquid diet. I think I'm lucky!!
  10. LOL...protein shot on another level!!
  11. I think most insurances require 35 bmi. You probably should contact yours and see what are their requirements.
  12. Hi, I never heard of your dr. I stay near Royal Oak and chose Dr. Keith Marshall. Good luck!
  13. I also said I was 5'3 instead of 5'4, which favored me. They don't check.
  14. Ha! I totally forgot about this. My first consultation I put a 10 lb plate weight inside my spanx in order for me to qualify. I was 35 and some change. Now without the weight my bmi is 38 or so. I enjoyed my carefree eating in a sense. I'm scheduled to be sleeved 3/14, my eating is under control now .
  15. Your so funny! I'm going to order the Celebrate (sp?) just cause you said so...lol. I'm glad in the final phases, I'm scheduled 3/14. Keep us posted with your progress and or setbacks. Good luck!
  16. Happy for you. Keep us updated!!
  17. I am going through St. John Macomb-Oakland. That's interesting, you don't have to jump like I did. Do you have documentation of you weight for 6 months?? That's is the only exception I am aware of. I'm scheduled 3/14! Good luck to you =)
  18. I think your approach a bit rude, someone offensive. I hope that is not your intention. Good luck to you either way.
  19. Girl you look great....all that melted off in 9 months?!? What was your dress size before and after?
  20. I'm 3/14, very excited. On a mini vaykay with my kids this wkend. Last weekend of carefree eating! I start my preop diet on Monday.
  21. Sorry for your hurdles, I'm glad you have an official date! Good luck
