My surgery is March 24th. Right now my main focus is finding some Protein powders that I like. I don't want any with artificial sweeteners or a strong Stevia taste. This limits the choice greatly, but I've found a lot to try. Whole foods was the one place that had a great selection of one use packets. Plus, they have a great return policy. If I do buy a whole tub of something that tastes good to me before surgery and after surgery i no longer like it (everyone talks about how their taste buds change) they said that you can return it, no problem (even if it's open/used) as long as you have your receipt! I have bought some small dishes, utensils and a divided baby plate that keeps food warm (because we will have to eat so slowly, it will go cold.) I haven't been on any kind of pre op diet yet so for the next 2 weeks I'm going to work on eating healthy small amounts, practice eating with out liquids (to me, bar far the hardest part of this whole thing), practice eating extremely slow and chewing my food really well. Then in 2 weeks I have to go on a 2 week pre-op diet. The exact details of which I have not found out yet. I am also working on a motivational board of photos to look at as I go through the more difficult parts of this journey. It will have pictures of things I want to do a lot more of when I'm lighter like golf and swimming as well as photos of healthy looking women at a goal size I'd like to be and of course some pics of cute fashions I will finally be able to think about wearing. The day I can't shop at Lane Bryant because I'm too small to fit in the clothes, is a day I will greatly celebrate!!!!!! Very excited about the opportunity to get this life changing tool!

I live near Boston, Massachusetts. My surgeon is near by. How about you? What country are you in? I'm in the middle of reading this blog right now. She's a member here and she documents her progress over a year and a half. It's really interesting so far. http://www.queenofcrop.com -
