    Breakfast cereal.

Post Great Grains Protein Blend Cinnamon/Hazelnut 8grams protein per serving 230 calories for a full cup but I can only eat half a cup. Special K Protein 120 calories for 3/4 cup and 10 grams of protein. Again I can only eat half a cup. They both taste really good too.
  2. I am three weeks out and the area where the drain was is all healed. It was so gross coming out. Felt like someone was pulling a worm out of my side. Yuk!
  3. I wore jeans 2 weeks after surgery. They were looser than before surgery so they did not bother me at all.
  4. OMG you look awesome. Congrats.
  5. Married almost 33 years and my hubby never new my weight until I decided to have this surgery. He married when I was heavy and I think he is a little nervous about me loosing to much weight. He has been very supportive about this journey. He even went on the liquid diet with me before surgery. Great guy.
  6. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

    Smells

My surgery was 02/19/2014 and I find I can't tolerate certain smells either. Thought it was just me.
  8. Great idea. Love the idea of group walks.
  9. Exception to the rule....Am I the only one coming out of the hospital gaining weight. Had my surgery on 2/19/2014 with a couple of complications. Today is the first time I got to weigh myself and I am up three pounds.

no, I weighed more after surgery also. In fact, it took me almost a week to get back to pre surgery weight after the surgery. They give you lots of fluids and I think I had about 10 lbs of gas. :)

  10. Today is the day. In a couple more hours it will be all over. Can't wait to be a post-op.

    Newbie w/ a question! :)

The group I am in has to drink Carnation Breakfast Essentials. I think they are pretty good. We have to mix them with Hood Simply Smart milk because it has 2 more grams of Protein than most milk. I am on day 10 of my liquid diet. 4 days to go. Surgery on the 19th. Can't wait!! If you try the Carnation you must switch over to the sugar free after the surgery. I have already started them and they are not to bad either.

    3 days post op

Glad to hear you are okay. Keep us posted on your progress.
  14. My surgery is on the 19th too. I haven't gotten nervous either. I am just way to excited to get this journey going. I have been on the liquids since last Wednesday. I have lost 10lbs so far on it. I have lost a total of 60 lbs to date. I have to say the IV scares me more than the surgery. I had a bad experience with IV before so that is the only concern I have right now. Good luck and keep us posted.
  15. Hi I am new to the site. I am only on day 3 of the liquid diet. My surgery is 2/19/14. I feel tired all the time. Any suggestions? Or will I get used to it after a while? Thanks for the help
  16. Good Luck Iam 1964. I have my surgery on 2/19/14. Today is the 4th day of my liquid diet. I too am getting very excited about the surgery. Nerves haven't started yet but I am sure they will kick in soon enough. Keep us posted.

    Pre op liquid diet

Thank you ladies. I am sure I will feel better. I am really worried about getting through the weekend. At least at work I can keep my mind off of food except for the grumbles my stomach sends up. LOL. Just started to crochet a scarf to keep my hands busy. Good luck with your journeys. Can't wait for mine to begin or should I say stage 2 to begin.
