  1. Post Great Grains Protein Blend Cinnamon/Hazelnut 8grams protein per serving 230 calories for a full cup but I can only eat half a cup. Special K Protein 120 calories for 3/4 cup and 10 grams of protein. Again I can only eat half a cup. They both taste really good too.
  2. I am three weeks out and the area where the drain was is all healed. It was so gross coming out. Felt like someone was pulling a worm out of my side. Yuk!
  3. I wore jeans 2 weeks after surgery. They were looser than before surgery so they did not bother me at all.
  4. Married almost 33 years and my hubby never new my weight until I decided to have this surgery. He married when I was heavy and I think he is a little nervous about me loosing to much weight. He has been very supportive about this journey. He even went on the liquid diet with me before surgery. Great guy.
  5. My surgery was 02/19/2014 and I find I can't tolerate certain smells either. Thought it was just me.
  6. Just finished my pre-op. I am going into surgery today. I am down 13 lbs. Good luck.
  7. The group I am in has to drink Carnation Breakfast Essentials. I think they are pretty good. We have to mix them with Hood Simply Smart milk because it has 2 more grams of Protein than most milk. I am on day 10 of my liquid diet. 4 days to go. Surgery on the 19th. Can't wait!! If you try the Carnation you must switch over to the sugar free after the surgery. I have already started them and they are not to bad either.
  8. Glad to hear you are okay. Keep us posted on your progress.
  9. My surgery is on the 19th too. I haven't gotten nervous either. I am just way to excited to get this journey going. I have been on the liquids since last Wednesday. I have lost 10lbs so far on it. I have lost a total of 60 lbs to date. I have to say the IV scares me more than the surgery. I had a bad experience with IV before so that is the only concern I have right now. Good luck and keep us posted.
  10. Good Luck Iam 1964. I have my surgery on 2/19/14. Today is the 4th day of my liquid diet. I too am getting very excited about the surgery. Nerves haven't started yet but I am sure they will kick in soon enough. Keep us posted.
  11. Thank you ladies. I am sure I will feel better. I am really worried about getting through the weekend. At least at work I can keep my mind off of food except for the grumbles my stomach sends up. LOL. Just started to crochet a scarf to keep my hands busy. Good luck with your journeys. Can't wait for mine to begin or should I say stage 2 to begin.
  12. Hi I am new to the site. I am only on day 3 of the liquid diet. My surgery is 2/19/14. I feel tired all the time. Any suggestions? Or will I get used to it after a while? Thanks for the help
