Hello on 06/14/14 had to have my gallbladder removed. I was nso much pain didn't realize that for two weeks I was already getting the gallbladder attacks. I'm post off surgery on 02/25/14. I didn't expect this to happen so fast. I'm still in pain and dealing some new scars on my stomach. Make it 8 cuts now!!! I'm glad to be alright. I can eat whatever I want but not a lot and I seem to be bloated and feel fuller. Which is a good thing. Otherwise everything else from my sleeve is working. I'm still losing weight and feeling better. I just started going back to the gym 3 times a week and now I'm delayed another 4-6 weeks. AHHHHH Good luck everyone. Never want to go through that pain again. I don't regret getting the sleeve, I'm wearing a size 6. Don't ever remember that size!!!!

I make sure I get about 70-90 grams of Protein a day. A lot of Protein Shakes. I'm a vegetarian so I'm challenged! I feel so tired daily and I wonder if I'm missing something? I think I will go to the doctor and have my labs ran. Any suggestions? Oh I'm 2.5 weeks post op. I wonder if its hypoglycemic?

Hello I'm almost 2.5 months post op and I still have to eat slowly and drink slowly. Sometimes I get into my old habits and grab a glass of Water and try to gulp it. WHat am I thinking??? I'm still learning how to eat and drink with my new stomach. And my stomach will let me know when I drank or eat it to fast. Because I get heartburn. Everyday is a new day on how to adjust and make my health better.

I'm scheduled for a sleeve on Feb 26th and I hope to return to work on March 4th. I work part time at this job but it can be a lot of walking. I usually work about 6 hours a day and my other job I will be off. I hope it works out. I'm glad to read all your responses. I will let you know how my journey goes

Sarah, I'm a realtor too but in Colorado. Where in Mexico did you go to have your surgery? I'm so concerned about safety. My husband has more doubts than I do.
I think every single one of us has had these fears. My husband was very quiet about all this when I started talking to him last November (2012) about it. Then one day I said tell me what your fears are because I have come to the conclusion this is what I Am doing with or with out you and I want you to be ok with this. We finally spoke about his fears and concerns and he was very much on board with this.
I worked very hard to be sure we had enough money in the bank for the surgery and for any time I needed off. I am a realtor, the main bread winner and I needed to be set for a few months!
These were his fears as well.
WHAT IF???? So I asked everyone. If I needed help I would go to the ER and get help. Period. They cannot not help you. I was close enough to the boarder/San Diego that they would take me there by ambulance if necessary. When I got home and needed something I had a doctor who takes cash petients and could help me.
Guess what I had an amazing expereince! I had a safe surgery! I was back on my feet, flying home in fantastic condition 3 days later. I took the largest listing of my life the next day I was home (I had surgery Friday afternoon came home monday).
I only needed to see a docotor once to get some blood work done and my insurance covered it and I needed to try a couple acid reducer until I found the right one ( over the counter zantex) .
I lost large amounts of weight and my giggest complaint is how am I going to keep up with my work clothing. LOL I personally have sent 3 freinds and 1 stranger down to Dr. Ponce De Leon and they have all had the exact same experience I did.
If you are not feeling these fears I would be concerend for you, the fact that people who love you are worried thats a good thing. BUT this is your body, this is your surgery, this is your money. You go there with your head held high, get your stomach out of your body and come home.
I can't wait to see your results!
Sarah
If you want a texting buddy I do that for people. just PM me

Why is this restriction so hard? Why do we have to follow it? Isn't that why we want the surgery? What's the logic behind this? Maybe if I knew why than I could understand why it's so important.

Hello I have not heard of the Dr. I'm scheduled for Feb 26th with Jacqueline Osana in TJ. I'm having second thought. so many people say bad and good stuff about TJ. How do we know we can trust the driver that picks us up from San Diego and take us across the border. Where we know not where we're going. My heart says go and JUST DO IT. How do you get past the fear? Did you get your surgery done?

Hello, I know your decision should not be taken lightly but I too have done a lot of research and as we speak I'm committing to a date of Feb 26th in TJ. I'm really scared, full of mixed emotions but I know it's the right decision. Commit to it and say I will do it. Diane
Hungry All The Time After Gastric Sleeve Surgery
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Hello every one I'm 5 months post op, I've lost 35 pounds, the last few months no weight loss and I always feel hungry. I'm a vegetarian so I know it's harder to get the Protein. I'm always switching from shakes to cheese or greek & yogurt. You know what I mean. I talked to my good friend who went through a gastric and she advised me that there are times like this where you just don't lose weight. I can not eat a lot when I do eat but every few hours I eat a snack or food. Sometimes I feel like I eat too much. I'm still learning how to eat right and how much. I'm not giving up just always looking for new ways to eat and what I can eat. Oh forgot to mention I had to have my gall bladder removed about 6 weeks ago. Anyways my friend said it took her a year and a half to lose all her weight so I figure we're all on the right track it just takes time and EXERCISE!!!! Which I do 2 to 3 times a week. I did this to lose 50 pounds it doesn't matter how much you are over weight because you know it and you feel it. That's why I went to Tijuana to have my sleeve because I couldn't have it done in the US. SO I have 15 more pounds to go.
