  1. Hey y'all, I was sleeved on 4/21 have lost 23lbs as of today (yes I'm that bad girl who weighs every morning) and I have PCOS. I got my period when I was 11 years old and lost it at age 15. I'm 36 years old now and only have my periods when it's brought on with a 10 day cycle of Provera meds. I haven't taken Provera in about 4 years though. My Gyno says my uterine wall is "getting thick again" so I will have to either take the Provera to get a period to shed the old blood, but my question is this: are any other ladies in the same boat as I am with no periods at all and have PCOS and have actually gotten their menses back after this sleeve surgery? My surgeon says it's very common, but I guess I just need to hear it from other sleevers. I like the fact of not having periods however it makes me feel less of a woman also, make sense?

I also have PCOS and I usually get my period about 4 times a year. I had my RNY 3 weeks ago and have had my period on and off since then! This is crazy!!

  2. Hi All,

2.5 weeks out RNY and SMELLS are making me so nauseas. Did this happen to anyone else? I have been nauseated for the last week and my dr. put me back on Stage 1. The smell of most foods, flowers (anything pungent) is making me crazy.

  3. HI all, I'm now 11 days post-op. My dr. Added in yogurt, farina, and strained Soup to my diet After 7 days. After the first day of the change I've been nauseous. I haven't felt like eating anything and everything I look at makes me queazy. I got meds from the doctor to combat the nausea but still not feeling right.

I felt so good a few days ago and now I feel like I'm going backward. It this just to be expected??

  4. WTG Bianca! I weighed in today at doctor and was 10 down. Its been difficult but feeling better everyday. I definitely need to walk more and Im making that a goal. MY doc wants me to do 15 minutes 2x day. I am not walking that much consistently. I did get moved to stage 2 which just added in yogurt, strained cream Soup and farina. I didn't try much today because I have this lump feeling in my throat (weird) but hope to tomorrow.

  5. April 7th is almost here and Im starting to freak out! This might be too much info but I need to ask...what happens if I still have my monthly friend during surgery? It came for a visit on Thursday and looks like it will still be with me Monday morning (its always quite heavy). Tampons wont work and Im sure undies must be removed during the procedure. HELP!! Anyone have suggestions?
