The journey for me has been ok, better now that I have more answers from this forum. Lol. I was scared because my belly is still so big, no loss that I know of but I haven't bought a scale yet. Turns out that swelling is very common for, sometimes, the first month. The pain has been bad, on and off. That part appears to be different for each individual. But I keep doing stuff (physically) that I shouldn't ( vacuuming, bending and lifting too much) so I believe my stubbornness is hurting me. I'm excited to see the first pounds come off, trying to be patient. I'm also trying to follow doctor instructions to a tee, but with the sipping, it is difficult to get all the Protein in daily along with the ounces of Fluid. I do better with the hydrating than I do with the protein because I feel full and don't want to push it. All in all, pretty good but I see no results yet but it's hard to remember that tomorrow will only be 14 days.
Hi cheermomma - I'm new to this site, searching and reading. I'm replying to yours because it seems that I had my surgery around the same time as you. Mine was 1/14. I've also been feeling blue, I wonder why that is. I'm anxious about this whole process, haven't list anything and am still in pain. I suppose I still have a lot of swelling internally tho because it is very difficult at times to get much of my sips of liquid in. I wish you well and hope that we can find the help we need on this site.
