Its time for another challenge! This challenge will be beginning with the first weigh in on Friday September 5th. From there on after, weigh ins will take place Fridays. Last weigh in will be Friday October 31st. This will allow a total of 9 weigh ins in all. I will post the link for the spreadsheet once its the week of. Few reminders. -Weights will be entered in whole numbers. -please post weigh ins here in this post only. -we are all here to support each other..so questions posted here will be answered by anyone else willing to help. -if you want to adjust your goal weight, just add that in any reply to this post. -if you miss a weigh in...no biggie. Just report back in the next week. -this is an amazing tool to help us all! Make it fun, challenge yourself, and cheer on the rest of the pack! -I'm no excel expert. I can do only the basics. So this isn't a fancy spreadsheet by any means. But I will keep it up to date and do my best to report the onderlands and other big crossings as I am able to. I do have young kids and I also work too. So some weeks i'm not able to update until a few days after report in day. It will be done. Lastly, you will know it is updated once I have liked your post. Have fun with this! Challenge yourself in new ways! Join us for the halloween challenge!

    Monday I weighed 200.5
    I weighed myself Tuesday....199.5
I thought I'd feel more, of anything! I think this is going to take some getting used to.
I have not been in the 100's in over 15 years! Can't Celebrate by pigging out. Don't want to spend money on clothes yet. Need to learn how to enjoy this new body!

The anxiety of breaking out of the 200's is so stressful! I have a weekend of birthday parties so I am afraid I won't get there next weigh in! This is such a biggie for me! And it is so darn close!

BlondeBanshee got a reaction from BeagleLover in Bypass or Sleeve. Times running out
I choose the sleeve because I did not want to deal with malnutrition and dehydration issues, I think the success rate for sleeve is pretty high and most importantly my digestive system is intact! I started at 280 surgery was 2/20/14, today I weigh 211. I hope to get down to 155, I am 5'10". I just felt safer with the sleeve, best thing I have ever done for myself!!!

I too was plagued with fears and doubt! I was sleeved 2/20 at 280 and today I weighed 212.5. What a difference! I want to weigh less but the truth is, if this is as good as it gets its a huge improvement! I have no doubt that I lose more and I am so grateful for this tool! I was so miserable and only getting worse! It is heart breaking that some suffer complications from being sleeved, don't ever take it for granted! Stay on the forums, I found it so comforting to see what everyone was going through! Good luck with your journey!

    Hi there.
    Great responses above...Here's my story.
When I started looking at WLS surgery, I wanted to get down to 150 pounds - that was my goal. One doctor (whom I really didn't like), said I would probably "settle in" at 180. I asked him how he came up with that number. He said, "Averages" My reply was, "I am not going to give this an "average" type of effort, so I will lose more."
Here is what I have found, after losing 70+ pounds so far...My goal of 150 isn't as important as it was before. My body is different at 185 pounds than it was years ago at the same weight. I attribute that to losing fat this time. I can wear a smaller size now at 185 than before at 185.
I still want to get to 150 pounds, but the number isn't as important to me as it was when I started. My life is awesome at the weight I am currently - I'm more active, I'm happier, I do things now I wouldn't have done 70 pounds ago (ski lift ride and Alpine slide last weekend, hiking the weekend before that). I have gotten my life back and that feels pretty wonderful.

You can't wait that long! Call them both and see about getting in sooner. The worsening of pain hopefully suggests something. Feel better!
