  1. Ok I'm finally down to an 18 in pants which I plan to continue to shop at old navy, lane Bryant, and target for those but I'm now wearing an xl or even large in some tops. I go to those three stores and that's fine but I want to venture out some for shirts. I don't want to go to a store though that runs small and look silly or feel sad trying and not fitting. So I would love some suggestions for places that have xl that runs regular or even a tad big. Any help from ppl who already have explored
  2. Ok so lately... As in the last couple of weeks... I've been waking up about 45 minutes after dozing off to sleep and throwing up. I've even started keeping a trash can bedside because it happens so fast. It's not food... I'm almost wondering if I'm frothing from a later dinner than normal and laying down is causing the reaction. This morning my sweet hubs brought me breakfast in bed and I dozed back off after eating only to have it happen yet again. Now killer acid reflux. None of the foods are the same. Thought it was possible the vitamin I took close to bedtime until it happened again today. Any thoughts?
  3. Don't worry! It will work. I lost at first then stalled for 2 full weeks! I panicked thinking I had failed and it wouldn't work. Just focus on your protein and liquids... And I actually did better once I ate more. I was eating like 500-600 calories and stalling. When I got to 800+ most days (mind you I know this seems so hard some days so I would eat 1000 one day and less other) I actually lost most weight. I made sure the calories I had were helpful ones like protein. Now I'm not much further out than you but it gets better then a new struggle will come up! Lol but I just know any hard time is better than struggling to find clothes to fit or just hating my size.
  4. Thank you for telling me that! My goal is a 14... Never wanted to shoot too small... Started in a 24. But now in an 18 less than three months out and I keep wanting to hope for a 10 but am almost scared to let myself! One goal I have is to put my wedding dress on and it fall to the ground. That would be so cool. I love hearing your inspiration words! It makes me hopeful and I can't wait to see what the future holds! Thank you
  5. I have been married for 5 years. When I got married I was somewhere around 245. At my highest before the sleeve I was 283. I am 2.5 months out and have lost 51 pounds. Today I decided to try my wedding dress on! It was actually a little bit loose! Kind of a fun non-scale victory! My actual wedding day 5 years ago
  6. My preop diet fell the same week we had a terrible ice storm and I was literally iced in at the school I teach at for a night and then had to stay with a child in my classes family the next time. I had no option but to cheat. I was very careful but still had some things like spaghetti and sausage biscuit: I called the doc and they said it being so early in the diet helped the situation and that as long as 9 days pre op went perfectly I should be fine. I did what they said and I had no complications. That being said obviously it's in your best interest to fight the urges. I was scared that they would go in and my liver be too large and have to cancel my surgery which would mean more waiting! The waiting sucks! You are in the home stretch! You have this! Don't put yourself in tempting situations if you can avoid it. The cheat wasn't that bad of one so take it and move forward! Good luck with your journey and I hope this helps a little!
  7. I have hit the 6 week mark and now feel ready to start really exercising. I'm sure many started before this but with me I just wanted to wait and let things sort of become more normal first. Anyways I want to get an activity tracker. I'm leaning towards the fitbit flex but I want to make the right choice. Any feed back would help. Likes, dislikes, or even other kinds that you guys like better. Thank you so much!
  8. Wow! You look awesome! The thought of being a 4/6 is crazy! I hope I get there but I would be amazed if I got into a 10 one day! I like mountain biking to get out of the gym and it burns a ton of calories! You are inspiring!
  9. I hate to admit but I love to talk selfies. Most of the time no one ever sees them but I started looking last night and comparing and this was really weird for me. I know I'm doing ok but being only 6 weeks out I'm still in denial that ppl can see much of a difference. I think they are "just saying that to be nice". Well the top is from around a month ago. Not my largest, I actually was feeling really good that day so I took a pic. And the bottom is from yesterday, after I got a hair cut. Comparing was so weird.
  10. I want to be you! Lol I hope I look that great on my one year!
  11. Thank you so much! I needed to hear those uplifting messages
  12. Feb 11 surgery My sleeve can handle most foods. I drank fruit punch but it was so sweet that I threw up. Other than that I try new things here and there and it's going good. I focus most of my good on Protein of course. I have done walking but no major exercise. I feel good but I am tired most days because of carrying this extra weight still on low calories. No caffeine is hard so if anyone has any help with that let me know. My clothes are loose and I can wear some stuff that used to be too tight. Making time for all of the Vitamins has been a bit tricky. 20 pounds since surgery 30 pounds total
  13. So I had surgery the 11th so we are close together! How is it going for you?
