Thank you for your insight. I was banded March 19th and am now on mushies and starving. I'm eating all the food I'm supposed to, not fattening. sugar free, etc. Protein, but I am hungry all the time. I wonder if the doctor put in a lap band.

I'm sure you will make the right decision. I live in Ball Ground near Woodstock. Didn't know there was a doctor there. But I had to go to a doctor that used by insurance and I am happy with Dr. Hart. Tomorrow is my big day. A little nervous

Hi;
My surgery is scheduled for March 19th at 7:30 a.m. I have to be at the hospital at 6:00. We live 1 hour away so we will be up very early. I hope they give me something to relax me when I get there. How are you doing? I don't start liquids until the day before surgery. So today is the last eating day for a while. Think I'll have something good.

Just a few more days and we will be banded. My surgery is the 19th as well. Nervous, excited and a little scared.

I either go to Cato or Dress Barn. Their prices are very reasonable. They have a plus size side and a smaller size. I can't wait to shop in the smaller sizes. Good luck

Hi,
I live in Ball Ground and I am scheduled to have surgery on Wednesday. I am using Dr. Hart at Atlanta Bariatrics and seem pleased. Glad to hear you didn't get blown away from the storms. Downtown is a mess I hear.

Good luck with your surgery.

Good luck with your surgery and for now Bon Apetite.

I am having surgery on the 19th and nothing was said by the dietician about a special diet. I only have to do Clear Liquids the day before. It will be interesting to see the posts from your thread to see if I should cut down and forego my "last meal" on Monday the 17th. Have not decided what to eat but be sure it will be delicious.

Hi Lynn:
I met with the dietician today. Everything she told me I have learned from this forum. I have to order the Protein Shakes Unic;;;;;sp something like that. I guess they get their cut from the company but I'll go along with it. I plan to do what the doc says.

She needs to be very careful what she says. If she keeps this up I would report her to her supervisor of nursing as giving medical advice.

my date is March 19th as well. Keep in touch and good luck. I meet with the dietician today.

I will have my band on March 19th.
When I think about mini goals I think of food. Well I'm going to have to rethink that from now on won't I. Glad to see you guys here. I won't feel so alone

Good for you. I know you are excited. It took me a year to get the approval and then it real fast after that. My surgery date is March 19th.
Good luck

Yes, it is the last supper syndrome. I am going to visit my parents this weekend and I gave them a list of all my favorite foods to prepare. I went for biscuits gravy and tenderloin Sunday, Saturday, Olive garden, bread and salad and Pasta with dessert. My surgery is the 19th of March and my preop liquid diet is only one day before. At this rate I'm going to have to change all my patient information regarding my weight and measurements.

Good luck with your band. My surgery is on the 19th of March at 7:30 a.m. as well.

Congrats to you. I am to be banded the 19th. It took me a year to get approved with Aetna but since they approved me things are going real fast.

My surgery is the 19th. I thought they didn't put any fill in at the time of the surgery. Wow I'm learning as I go.

Dr. Hart is with Atlanta Bariatrics at Johns Creek. Having surgery the 19th

Will I be able to take my daily medications right after my surgery. Should I check with my pharmacy to see if they come in liquid form?

Why no alcohol?

This was the best reply. Now if I can just remember it. I will write it down and hand it to all the people that say I'm taking the easy way out. Surgery the 19th. Can't wait.

Hang in there. The side effects are gross but you'll get through it.
Anyone from Georgia ??
