  1. Yes! Great job dignity! You'll be through this so quickly. The last week goes fast and slow all at the same time. Keep it up!
  2. Just remind yourself of your want tos. Honestly the night before I had surgery I realized I was anxious because I was having trouble imagining myself thinner and healthy. I WANT to be those things but haven't been in quite a while so it was hard to picture. So I kept trying to picture my future which did help.
  3. Yes!!! Less than 24 hours lady. Wahoo!
  4. Can't wait to hear how you are!
  5. I had surgery Thursday. But I saw a lot of people in this thread waiting for surgery in the next week. Good luck!
  6. That's amazing! Way to go!
  7. Whether your tastes change or not, your stuck "eating" the same "foods" post-op. lol. I get hungry sometimes but it's so much easier to manage
  8. How exciting! My last week went super slow and fast all at once. It was almost painful. But you will get there, I promise! And we will all be here waiting to hear how you're doing. You got this!
  9. Buy one to try before and hold on to it for post-op. I love spicy and did need to cut if with plain broth. I'm not sure I would call it "spicy" so much as its "aromatic." If that makes sense.
  10. Oh yeah. If I had been more active on this site last year when my band was removed I am sure I would have done the band to sleeve in the same surgery. But I am glad I went about it this way. I didn't feel trapped or forced in to anything. I didn't tell my husband or my mom until I had an appointment to go see my surgeon to ask him questions about it. I got to ask questions on this app/site and get to research as much as I can find.
  11. It's so nice to have a bunch of people going through this together and all being sleeved so close together. I love it!
  12. Yes! Go get those broths. They are flavorful and very fulfilling!
  13. That's awesome! You go girl!
  14. I have been following you since the beginning. So glad to hear how we'll you're doing!
  15. Just don't stress too much. It didn't help me at all. I think your approach to the diet is smart and will prevent detox headaches. But you also have a lot of time and don't need to deprive yourself of some foods you enjoy now that you may not be able to enjoy post-op. for me, I enjoy spicy foods. So when I could, I would get them because a lot of folks on here can't handle them post op. some people can't handle eggs, or dairy. So if an opportunity presents itself for you to enjoy something like that take it.
  16. How are you doing now? I see your original post was in 2012. Did you get back on track?
  17. Wahoo! You're almost there!
  18. Maybe you can add extracts for flavor? They have coffee extract and cacao. I bet those would taste good with caramel.
  19. Well the sooner you update the better. For me. Lol!
  20. Well the sooner you update the better. For me. Lol!
  21. I wanted to update. But my arms weren't cooperating.
  22. Be careful! You have further to travel than I did. And I was too out of it to care about my phone or iPad. I just wanted to sleep. So I bought an extension cord just for the stay and it didn't get touched until I got home Friday night. Lol.
  23. At least you got your hooked roots under control! Gotta show them who's the head bitch. Bummer about the soup and powder. I know how much it sucks to invest in those and hate them. Maybe you can re-sell the powder on Craigslist? People will buy anything off CL, even your hooker roots!
