  1. I had the same thing. I took a Zyrtec and the itching eased up. Must have been anesthesia or in my case coming off the pre-op diet medications.
  2. Thanks all for the encouragement and wonderful suggestions! I will Check out eBay too.
  3. 10 days post op. Lost 55 pounds all together so far since November. Had to get some jeans, they were all too big. Went shopping and found I went from a 5x to a 3x. From a size 32 to a 26!!! Today was an awesome day. Haven't worn these sizes in almost 15 years!
  4. I know what you mean LaGueri. I am so sick of broth and jello. Looking forward to something different I have my follow up on the 26th also butMy next food level is full liquids. No soft foods for another 4 weeks.
  5. Sleeved Monday. No trouble peeing but haven't pooped! How long before the first poop on the liquid diet? Should I be worried about Constipation at this point??
  6. Agreed. First twenty four were very rough. Just got home. Feeling pretty good. Just tired. Drinking some tea and trying to stay hydrated. Tomorrow will be a better day.
  7. Congratulations!! Mine is tomorrow too!! I am doing my surgery prep. No fun. But one step closer. Still have to pack my hospital bag. My surgery isn't scheduled until 2pm. I sure wish it was earlier in the day. I will be a nervous wreck all morning. Good luck to all!!
  8. Had my PreOp appointment today!! Lost another 4 pounds. Dr was very happy with my weight loss (40 total lost) and the fact that my A1C is now in normal range. Surgery date Mar 17th. Coming up fast! Starting to get really nervous but also excited. Went and got a body wave put in my hair so that it will be easier to manage after surgery. Tomorrow I am going to the grocery store to pick up items for my first Week of clear liquids. So much to do before next Monday and I am running out of time. Eeek!!! Is this really happening??????
  9. I have been preOp since I started theProgram in Nov last year. My program requires I see a dietician every month. Up until the last two weeks I was just following weight watchers. Lost 20 doing that. Then they upped the ante and put me on one meal replacement shake and 1300 calorie diet with dietician appointments every week. Been doing that for the last two weeks and have lost 15. I have my preOp appt with my surgeon next week and have now met his weight loss requirements. Not sure what comes next. Surgery is march 17.
  10. Down 35 pounds today. Surgery date March 17. PreOp appointment next week!
  11. Thanks all for your replies. I am making my list and these are all good suggestions.
  12. My surgery date is fast approaching, March 17th and I am starting to get nervous! I was wondering, what are some must have items that you really depended on or could not live without during your recovery after surgery?
  13. What Are you packing to take to the hospital? I haven't given it much thought but have seen some threads where I there's have. I live in the Houston Galveston area. Where are you from?
  14. I was pretty freaked out about the protein shakes but found the Muscle Milks to be pretty good and easily tolerated. I haven't tried the powdered protein yet. I am drinking one meal replacement shake a day.
  15. Good luck to you too! I am nervous but also very excited. Does your preop diet start the 3rd? I have been on a preOp diet since Thanksgiving. My surgeon required I lose 10% of my weight before surgery. I made goal today so I am good to go. I have had to see a dietician everyMonth. Now that I am just weeks away I am seeing the dietician every week. I have dropped almost 40 pounds.
  16. Brenda my surgery date is also March 17th!! Good luck to you. Are you as nervous as I am??
  17. I was told by my dietician to be very careful with bananas because they are rich in calories. A serving of banana is a half of one. She also said to pair it with a protein and limit To one per day.
  18. Yes he said it was to shrink the liver to make access to the stomach easier.
  19. The program I am in requires that you quit smoking before surgery. I am not a smoker so I do not know how long you have to be off the smokes before surgery, but they said that if you are a smoker you will be denied. Sorry. I know that's not what you want to hear. Good luck.
  20. I am in League City Tx just out side Houston.
  21. My surgeon said if I don't lose the required preOp weight he will postpone the surgery until I do. I sure don't want that. At first I was just following Weight Watchers but then I hit a stall. My surgery date is 3/17 and at the last appointment I still had 10 pounds to go before my preOp appointment on 3/7 so they are making me see the dietitian every week. She put me on a high Protein 1300 calorie diet with one Meal Replacement shake. She is also having me limit the number of carbs I intake. It is helping a lot. In the first 4 days I dropped 7 pounds and it got the scale moving. Those darn carbs were the culprit. I weigh in tomorrow and expect to have lost most of the last 10. (I hope I hope I hope). Good Luck Sweetcheeks! You can do it!!!
  22. My surgeon is concerned that with the sleeve surgery that my acid reflux will get considerably worse and I am worried about that. I know myself and I know that after awhile the chocolate and strawberry and vanilla shakes will get old and I will want something different so was thinking about the Isopures. But if they are really acidic then they will not be a good option for me. I don't get sleeved until March 17th so I am trying to nail down my options before surgery. Thanks for the replies!
  23. Anything with citrus acid usually gives me acid reflux so I am concerned about the fruity drinks. I guess I'll have to try them. Funny though sodas don't bother me at all.
  24. Does Crystal Lite and the fruity protein drinks like Isopure make your acid reflux worse? Just wondering??
