  1. I was sleeved March 17, 2014. I have lost 100 pounds since my journey started in November 2013. That's 45 pounds pre op and 55 pounds since surgery. I am at a stall. How much have you lost in all? Please share. Am I behind????? I feel like I should have lost more. I still need to lose 55 more pounds. Should I be worried that I haven't met my goal in one year?

  4. Thanks for all the encouraging words. I joined a Gym two weeks ago and have started working out with a personal trainer 1 hour a day 5 days per week and since starting my workout I have seen the scale go up 4 pounds. This freaked me out hence the reason for my post. Just wondering how everyone else is doing? I am very proud of the 100 pound loss. I feel amazing. I know that the exercise will help in the long run, I am just fearful that my doctor will be disappointed with my progress. Thanks again for your replies. Keep them coming!!
  5. I have eaten tuna salad or chicken salad every day for the last 4 months and if I have to eat it one more day I am going to puke. I am almost 6 months out and find myself snacking on crackers because I can't stand the Protein anymore. This has slowed my weight loss down (only lost 10 pounds in the last 3 1/2 months). I don't want to fall into the trap I did before and start going out for lunch everyday. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

    HOUSTON Sleevers?

March 17th Sleever from League City. UTMB Dr. Gomez did my surgery and have been very satisfied with the care. Dr. Gomez has a lot of experience and I had zero complications! Down almost 100 pounds since I started the process. Couldn't be happier.
  10. I am 18 weeks post-op and stalled big time. I am only 6 pounds from 100 pound loss and the scale has stopped moving. I know the reason though. I have been snacking way too much. I too need to get back to the basics. My biggest problem is that when I sit down to eat a meal I get full so fast, then an hour later I am hungry again. No I don't drink with my meals, it just seems that my stomach empties so fast. Anyone else have a problem with quick emptying, stall at 4 months or snacking?
  11. I pureed alot of Tuna salad. Fish goes down really easy for me. I still eat alot of Tuna. It used to give me reflux but not anymore. My dietician said fish is more easily tolerated because it doesn't have the connective tissue that beef and chicken has. If you mix a can of tuna with a little bit of pickle relish, low fat or fat free mayo and some hard boiled egg and put it in the Nutra Bullitt for a spin it comes out smooth and tasty.

    Diabetes anyone?

Type II diabetes was my main motivation. Took my last doses of diabetes meds (Glyburide and Victoza) the day I left the hospital. 4 months out from Sleeve surgery and haven't needed it once. So worth it!

    Why the recliner ?

I spent most days resting in the recliner but would sleep flat in the bed. It was easier getting up and down from the recliner during the day. Once I was in bed for the night I was okay, but even with splinting, it hurt like h#ll to get up out of bed.
