  1. I wouldn't feel bad, if your doc can do it, great!!!!!!!
  2. I was on mushies by week 2...I have had no problems. I was filled for the first time today with no restrictions. Although, I think that I will take it easy for a day or so. Brandy
  3. Ok...I had my fill this afternoon (3.55 in a 10cc band). My stomach on the bottom feels hungry, but above the band is all gurggley. The liquids have gone down fine, I don't feel like I am re-fluxing or anything, but since this is my first fill, I was curious if this is normal. Also, how much swelling do you usually get? I feel sore from the needle prick, but there was minimal movement of the actual needle. Thanks in advance! Brandy
  4. You gals are cute!! Someday we will all have that "way back when"...mine was my Christmas picture.
  5. Sorry...just keep plugging away. It will be here soon!
  6. My dh doesn't know, unless someone slipped on surgery day...at least I hope he doesn't. I only want him to know my weight when I reach goal. ****HUGS**** That would be difficult for me too! Brandy
  7. Hi~ I am getting so nervous, I have my first fill today at 2:30. I have had to have a couple amnios (one that was horrific) and that is what I am invisoining! :faint: LA: I bet your counting the hours!!!! EVERYONE: Great job with working out! I am hoping that I get clearance today and I will be right there with you!:clap2: Brandy
  8. Has anyone heard of or used the protein bullets or protein shots? My powder is about to make me puke, :speechles and I thought that this may be worth a try. Thanks!
  9. I know that we are only supposed to eat a cup of food at a time, does this also include popcorn? It seems like you would not get any, if it was only a cup. I ate some at the movie, but only ate until I satisfied... Thanks
  10. AWESOME JOB!!! Keep up the great work!!! Brandy
  11. Congratulations!!! That is awesome and you look great! Brandy:clap2:
  12. BAHOT: My favorite thing during the mushies was, ricotta cheese, parmesan and some pasta sauce. Kind of like lasagna sans the noodles. It was really yummy!
  13. Happy Birthday Michelle!!! :clap2::clap2::clap2:
  14. Hi there~ I had BCBS of Alabama and was denied 3 seperate times...even with co-morbities. I finally had had it with my weight, and decided to self pay for the lap band. I was banded on 12/12, down 25 pounds and have also gone from a 20/22W pants size to a REGULAR 18 today!!! :clap2: I felt more confident with the band, in case anything would ever happen, it is reversible. Good luck in your decision. Brandy
  15. I also got a Weight Watchers scale...I love it! It is easy to read, you can customize it, and the weight limit was 400 pounds. I found it a Target (they had them all on sale...) Brandy
  16. Hi Sunshine~ WELCOME!!!! I am Brandy (obviously and a mom to 4). I had my surgery with Dr. K, on 12/12. I am down 23.4 pounds as of this morning! So I know I am doing something right, even not eating as much has been helping. I had my surgery in Aurora, so no help there. I will share my story in that it was a much harder recovery than I had anticipated. I was very sore for about 5-6 days, and I was taking my pain meds that whole time. It seemed about day 10 that I was feeling pretty good and by week 3, I feel 100% normal! I don't know if it was harder because of having my kids and back to my routine by that Monday, but it was a sore recovery! Welcome! Everyone here is great!! Brandy
  17. YAY!!! Congratulations!!! It will be here before you know it!!! Brandy
  18. Mine is getting there too...that is awesome! Hey how did your wife convince you to do the laundry? I would like to work on that with my husband! :heh: Brandy
  19. YAY!!! That is great!!!
  20. Good for you! I wish that it was warm enough here to go walking...it is FREEZING (although we are expected to get into the 40's). I am hoping to get my clearance to work out on Tuesday...I was banded 12/12.
  21. Hi all! I am feeling wonderful! Bought a new scale yesterday and I am 4 pounds from ONEderland! Which is very exciting!!! So I am officially down 23 pounds!!! YAY!!! I do feel like I am hungry (ALOT) and I am eating more, so at this point if I maintain I will be happy! I have my first fill on the 8th and am a little anxious...does Dr. K numb you before all the proding? How many "sticks" does it usually take? I have to take my daughter (4) is she going to flip when she the needle? Thanks all!!! I wont be able to come to RR this month as it is my DH b-day! Unless....I can talk him into it, which is always a possibility. :heh: Bahot, glad to hear your doing well!
  22. Me too, but it is better than staring into the fridge!
  23. I have found with me, if I up (yes, I said UP) my calories a bit, then cut them again, my body is "shocked" and the weight loss starts again. Brandy
  24. Welcome to Band Land! You will do great!!!
