  1. When did you last eat. It could be dumping syndrome, I had similar pain about an hour after I ate and thought I was having a heart attack. It eased up after about an hour but I felt miserable for several hours. I ate too much or too fast.

I'm wondering if that's what happened. I eventually got sick last night and once food was up the pain went away. I have been eating a couple of crackers just before this happened, I was cleaning the kitchen so I was eating mindlessly. Perhaps I wasn't chewing enough, maybe I just shouldn't eat crackers - even just a couple.

That pain was insane, it started I could feel my pouch then it spread to the center of my abdomen and around my back. But once crackers came up - it was gone. I learned my lesson. I shouldn't be eating crackers anyway, i'm 10 lbs from my goal, so I allow myself a treat once in awhile.

Thank you for the reply, it helped me get through

  2. Major pain tonight, out if nowhere. I buckled over for a good 30 min shrieking and unable to move. Pain felt like pouch was enflamed. I dry heaved for a while. Tried to use the bathroom. I was tempted to go to ER, even wondered if it's appendix but then It finally eased - but isn't gone.

Anyone ever had or heard of this?

  3. I'm only down 37# since surgery. From 190 now 153. I can't complain tho. I have only puked once, had an episode yesterday but it passed. I was hoping to be smaller b y now but it is what it is.

I think you look great!! 37 is nothing to sneeze at! Don't get discouraged it's going to move again. I plateaued for a good month, then I upped my Protein by adding a lot of fish to my diet, changed my workouts and boom! scale is moving again and I'm down another 10 in a month.

    You got this, stay positive!!

  4. WTG on the size 6! Make sure you are getting in your Protein. I think I've read it stops around 7 months? I'm not positive. I use a Nioxin Shampoo and conditioner from Sally's Beauty Supply. I'm not sure if it will help but I guess it won't hurt.

Thanks!! I tried nioxin, not sure it's doing anything. Oh well, I'll wear a ponytail until it comes back... Or maybe get extensions once it stops falling out.

  5. Path2me, my goal is about 125-130. I get frustrated too at times but it still drops.. since I jog and have leg muscles I'm small for the weight.. I do miss salads and other healthy foods but in time we will meet again!!

Since we are similar starting weight, surgery date, goals and loss - we can help motivate each other though the ups and downs... Hopefully more downs, in the good way ;)

  6. My surgery was Jan 9. I'm doing good. I'm slow loser but doc said normal. 2# a week. I weight in at 154 today. Was 190 at surgery. I jog 3 miles a morning and am happy so far. I eat the same stuff mostly.. get tired of it but my nut is very strict and still has me on liquids, oatmeal, cheese, and eggs.. no mushies yet. I see him in 2 weeks and get my next diet plan. I have much more energy, don't nap in the day and having trouble sleeping at night.

That's fantastic!! I would say for your starting weight you are doing great!! I started similar, 195, currently 157. I get frustrated that it's not coming off faster, or as fast as it was. However it is still coming off! What's your goal? Mine was 145, but now that I'm lowering it to 135, realizing as I get smaller there's more to lose.

  7. I'm curious how everyone is doing? I'm just shy if 11 wks out and although I'm down 35 solid and 46" overall body - the scale has barely budged the last few wks. A pound or 2 this last month. It's hard not to get frustrated and am wondering if it's normal to plateau like this? I've been in the gym 4-6 times a wk since 6 wks out, oddly that's when losing slowed down, also when I started full foods. I'd love a little encouragement or some tips. I'm tempted to go back to liquids or purées and see if it makes a difference.

  8. Well I finally crossed that plateau, have dropped a few more lbs. I think i'm just losing closer to normal now, instead of 5-7 a wk, it's maybe going to be 2-3. I'm ok with that. 40 down in 9.5 wks. I'm very happy with inches lost, that is what continues to change even if the scale hasn't moved. Total inches combined from all over my body, 43! That's exciting. Twice over the last wk I have had people not even recognize me, until right up close and I'm saying "hi" - so and so! That's weird too, but oddly flattering. Nothing fits, even workout clothes are getting too big. I want to buy new stuff so bad, but want to get closer to goal first. Some new things I bought in the beginning are already too big, kind of a waste. Although a great feeling to give things away that are too big rather than too small :)

  9. For the past couple days I have been getting more hungry than I have since surgery was done on 1/13/14. I was wondering what some of you do to curb the hunger or not eat so much?

Is it hunger hunger or head hunger? I have found it's easy to slip into head hunger or old emotional eating habits if not careful. Although I can never eat very much, I know because I reach fir the junk . I also find when I keep busy and focus on Water intake then I actually have to remind myself to eat. (Never thought I'd be that person :))

  10. How much can everyone eat. I seem to not feel any fullness or restriction almost like my stomach is the same. I can eat a yogurt and a cheese stick at one time. I can eat a piece of chicken or approx 3/4 of it. I'm wondering if that's normal.

Maybe speak to your dr. I know eventually we can eat more, but there's no way I can even get a 1/4 c of food at a time yet. I do the Protein first, but can only manage 4 -6 small bites. If I go over that I feel very uncomfortable, so I have learned to stop before I feel full. So I eat 4-5 really small meals a day. I can barely finish a scrambled egg. I struggle with the Water most. Everyone seems to have a different experience though. Let us know what they say.

  11. I'm frustrated too!! It seemed to fall off at first, 21 lbs in 17 days! Then nothing for the last 5 :(

I started mushy foods, but can eat very very little. Wondering if my body is just hanging onto everything now. I'm moving all day with two little ones, don't have gym clearance for 3 more wks...please let me lose some more before then!!
