  1. Everyone is doing so good on here and I am doing terrible. I am 6 weeks post op and hungry. I am losing slowly and don't know which way to turn. I am definitely getting to much sodium which I never see anybody else mention. If you have any suggestions please let me know, as I am getting desperate.

    Popcorn my most favorite snack!

When r we allowed to eat popcorn? I am a sleever.
  3. I called about the bella loops and was told if I moved around a lot they would just slip off my ears.
  4. JenSull I have the same problem with my mask as you do. I have tried other masks and they slip up the back of my head. I use to think it was just me but I have heard from quite a few people that they have problems. I do toss and turn a lot so I'm sure that is part of the problem. If I have a good night and think I figured it all out the next night is terrible. I have to use it or I don't get any rest at all. I am going in next week to look at another mask. I have been going through this for 6 or 7 yrs now. I am also hoping that when I lose a considerable amount of weight that I won't need the machine. Good luck.
  5. I am 6 week post op and struggling to lose weight. Everything I eat has to much sodium. I was making cheese rolls with a piece of cheese and lunch meat. I bought the tyson chicken, again to much salt. What is everybody eating that isn't full of salt? I get the protein in but the salt is crazy, help.
  6. I am glad it worked out. That was nice of them to reply right away and get it straightened out. It never hurts to ask, I applaud you.
  7. I went to Sam's St Johns and was told I couldn't order off the kids menu. It was in the evening and they said I could order of the seniors menu but you have to pay $1.50 more after 4:00pm. Money is more important than customers. They also said it was a family run restaurant.
  8. I move a lot and this is where the problem comes in. When I turn I end of with leaks coming in the pillow.
  9. Let me know if they give u a different mask that works.

    Surgery today, in pain

I know it hurts in the beginning but each day it is a little better. I am almost 4 weeks out and I felt the same way as you. Believe me it will get better. Good luck and take care.
  11. I had the WL surgery 3 weeks ago and I still need my c-pap machine. I still snore without it . I am hoping down the line I will be able to sleep without it, but right now that isn't possible.
  12. Yes I use a nasal pillow too.
  13. I have been looking for the Vitamin E and keratin too and haven't had any luck. If anyone knows of a lotion with both products in it let us know, thanks.
  14. I have a terrible time with the masks and I need to use my c-pap machine every night. I just do the best I can and hope they will come up with something that will work for me, or I hope that the WL will help with the sleep apna.
  15. Thanks for the info. I have sleep apnea and I kept thinking I was going into diabetes because I was so thirsty all the time. As far as the wait for the c-pap I think it depends a lot on the doctor. My pcp does the sleep study and she sat on it for 2 months or more and I switched to another doctor and got rid of her. It still took me awhile to get the info from the sleep study from her. That usually don't happen if you go to a doctor that actually deals with sleep apnea. I just happened to get a bad apple. I would never go to a regular physician that does that in there office again. Sad how one bad experience changes everything.
  16. I didn't have to give myself shots I got them while I was in the hosp. I was in for 2 days and I think I got 2 shots a day. It really depends on your doctor.
  17. The reason for waiting is because they don't want you to have the added complication of possibly not breathing. They want you to have the machine so you can use it in the hosp. If you don't have the test and they just used one of their machines they wouldn't know the settings for you.
  18. I had surgery on the 17th of Nov and I have sleep apnea. I think maybe he means that once you get tested and if you do have it they will want that taken care of before surgery. I had to take my sleep machine to the hosp with me. I already had my machine before I decided to have the surgery. Good Luck.
