    OMG October 2013 Post-ops

I am amazed at how fast some of you are losing! I have been in so many stalls for the past three months that I've only lost 23 lbs since November. It does get discouraging, but I know I have to keep on plugging. My hair has gotten really thin and I take biotin everyday. One good thing, I do have a lot more energy. I work out at the gym at least 3 days a week, try to get in more, but it is difficult since it is 20 miles away. Congrats on everyone's weight loss! HW 252 SW 242 CW 192

    What ya eating tonight?

Just wondering. Do you cook broccoli in the crockpot with the mushrooms? You didn't mention broccoli in the recipe above.

    OMG October 2013 Post-ops

I know what you mean! I've only lost 20 lbs since the end of November. I must be doing something wrong. I am eating about 800 calories a day, get at least 60 grams of protein(most days more), I have had so many stalls I can't count them. I feel like I must be doing something wrong, just don't know what it is.

    miltivitamins

I really don't know why I had to wait that long. I just went by what they said to do in the booklet they gave me. Be sure your calcium is calcium citrate. The bariatric advantage chewable caramel flavor is delicious. Tastes like candy! All my vitamins are chewable, even the iron.

    miltivitamins

I was put on chewable bariatric advantage multivitamins twice daily right after surgery. I also take sublingual B12, Iron, and calcium chews (3times daily). I didn't start calcium until 2 weeks out.

    Surgery after 65

Welcome ambpete!I understand your concern about having surgery at your age. I had the same fears, but I so wanted to be healthy that I didn't look back. I, like Dyan, only regret that I didn't do this years ago! I had my surgery in October and I will be 68 this Wednesday. I have never felt better, had no problems with the surgery, very little pain. I will be praying that you do good as well.

    Friday Weigh-In!

It does get discouraging when losing so slowly. I don't know if I should increase my calories or decrease them. I am eating about 800 calories a day. I feel like if I increase that I won't lose anything!

    Post op soups and protein

If you try mixing 1 or 2 spoons of sugar free pudding mix to your matrix it may taste better to you. I mix it in all my shakes I make. I love the taste and it gives a smoother consistency. Also the powdered peanut butter is good mixed in.

    Post op soups and protein

I have used Syntha 6. I like all favors but my favorite is chocolate or cappuccino I order it from Lucky Vitamins. I also like the Unjury powder. Amazon sells both of these. For a ready made shake I like Primier Protein. You can get these at Walmart. SAMs has the 12 pack.
