This week has been a stall week. I'm doing great but the weight loss is stalled at 215.
-
Ive been mixing half G2 Gatorade and half Water to keep my electrolytes up ever since the surgery. Also been taking my Vitamins.
Starting weight was 262. Surgery weight was 232. Today's weight is 215.
I had a stall during my period where my weight climbed from 218 to 220 and stayed for a whole week but once the period was over my weight dropped to 215.
Apparently my cast Iron stomach has turned into a cast Iron sleeve. I haven't had issues keeping anything down. Ive been eating all Protein with a bite or two of veggie. Mainly pot roasted beef and pork (falling apart tender). chicken and eggs; cheese and yogurt and skim milk.
I need to log my Protein to see how much I'm getting.
Edit: I logged my meals for today and I got about 55 g of protein from my food.

My tastes have changed regarding the unjury strawberry. With the Unjury chicken it seems like it goes best when mixed in some chicken broth.
I ordered some unflavored Protein powder and I'm going to be trying it in a lot of different things. If I can get a whole scoop snuck in during the day in my different foods then that's an extra 26 grams of Protein.< /p>

Got my unflavored Protein Powder in the mail and I think its fine but I'm not going to be able to use much at one time without the flavor getting to me. Its got a weird tang to it.
I'm gonna try mixing it in some yogurt and fruit tomorrow.

Make sure that you're getting enough good fats and enough Proteins. Stick with high Protein foods like greek yogurt with honey, eggs, lean ham or turkey, etc.
Also, make sure that you're getting enough Water. Water helps to flush out all of the bad stuff, so if you don't have enough water in your system, then your body holds onto your fat.

Omg I hate that feeling. I started taking tiny tiny bites so that I can tell when the fullness starts sneaking up on me....

How is everyone doing today...
I wanted to do a food roll call to see what my fellow april 21st sleevers are eating and drinking:
Today I had egg salad (really runny)
Also had half Water and half low-cal gatorade.
My unflavored Protein powder is supposed to be here today I'm excited to start adding it to my gatorade.
Pre-Op I was making shakes with powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury powder... but I find that the flavors are too sweet for me now and I can't stand anything that has too much of a "sweet" flavor.
Have you guys experienced this?

I am one week from surgery and I'm down 9 pounds in that week.

Explain loops I'm lost
My neighborhood has a lot of streets and there is a circle where I can make a loop and its about 0.75 mile. "Loop"
So I walk to the end of 67th street; take a left on 129th; take a left on 69th then another left on 128th. Then I walk down 128th until it veers left back onto 67th street where my house is.

Weighed in at 223 lbs today, yay!
I was also able to make two loops on my walk today instead of just one like i've been doing since the surgery. Each loop took 15 minutes before surgery but now they take about 17 minutes because I walk slower. So that means I'm up to excercising for 34 minutes at a time yay!
prior to today I had been making multiple loops at different times of the day.
Also, I went to church and my mother in law embarrassed me by asking in a really loud voice where a bunch of people can hear " So how much weight have you lost?!?"
I was so embarrassed especially since I haven't told anyone from church besides my mother in law. I just said 7 lbs and then left it at that.

I had my surgery on April 21 and this is the first time I slept all the way through the night and also didn't need to take anything for the pain Whoo hoo for small victories!

Hi how are you doing? I'm so nervous my surgery is tomorrow and I'm having second thoughts.
Good luck!! Second thoughts are normal but by the time you are a week or two post op you'll be thanking yourself for being so brave. I swear my energy level is better now than it was before the surgery.

I have a 16.9 oz water bottle that I fill up and keep in the fridge. When I drink I mix the Water with either apple juice or Gatorade in equal parts. My goal is to empty and fill the water bottle twice each day with that being approximately 70 oz by the time you double it due to the mixing half juice or Gatorade. So far I'm at a bottle and a half per day and my pee is light yellow so I feel like I'm doing pretty good on my fluids.

Haven't really needed the pain meds.
Gas pains suck . . . My appetite is back . .
I've lost 12 lbs since Monday & 30 since the summer .
Just waiting on these results to come in !
Awesome!!

Today it seems like there is a lot of gas pressure right under my rib cage. I can feel it gurgling in there and rising up through my tummy. I keep trying to burp it out. And oh Yah; I'm down 7 lbs since the surgery!! Whoo hoo.
I have been walking three times a day for 20 minutes each time and I'm wondering if that's what is making all the gas come out.
Oh ya and my last pee was lighter yellow instead of dark yellow! WIN!!

Okay! Sigh I threw every meal I ate yesterday up and passed out as well. Urine is clear so getting enough fluids and getting about 40 G Protein in and 400-500 calories. I can eat about a cup and never feel full. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Positive side. I did try Vitamins today and I'm holding those and breakfast down. Each day is a new challenge but I'm conquering them in stride. Baby steps. Just keep swimming.
For nausea and vomiting my nut said go back to clear liquid diet.

HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING WELL. I CANNOT BELIEVE OUR DAY HAS COME AND GONE. I AM FEELING GREAT!
I AM NOT FEELING ANY HUNGER EITHER. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY THAT. I MET WITH MY NUT YESTERDAY AND SHE TOLD ME TO GET IN MORE PROTIEN. TRYING, BUT I FIND IT TOUGH.. YOU ALL IN THE SAME BOAT?
Anyone come up with good ways to get Protein in ?
I'm feeling amazing too! And I don't feel any hunger its so freaking amazing to be free from the desire to stuff my face with food omg!
Just mix the powders in with whatever you are eating and drinking

Hi everyone! i am 5 days post op! i started at 268 i am 248 today. took my first shower and removed the gauze. i am not hungry at all but i miss the sensation of chewing. Things smell funny and sorbets taste super sweet. i couldn't stomach Jello yet. is anyone else having serious gas pains? its like in my chest and everytime i pass gas it seems internal or i am going to poop myself i know too much info but its strange!! i feel achy and sore, its hard getting p from sitting position but its manageable. im still taking liquid Percocet for pain but instead of every 4 hours i am doing every 7 hours to stretch it out. i am sleeping on the couch w hubby bc i can't lay down yet. i have been walking everyday- i walked an hour yesterday i think i overdid it. any advice or things i should prepare for? lol hope everyone is doing great! sorry i was MIA for a few days- between surgery and my mom had a stroke it has been a long week.
any advice???
Seems like you and I are doing bout the same. I am having a hard time getting the Proteins in but I'm trying. I just had some chicken flavored broth with unjury chicken Protein powder blended in. I'm eating runny oatmeal with Protein Powder mixed in. I'm also eating potato Soup with the Protein Powder mixed in. I mix low calorie Gatorade with equal parts Water and that is helping me get the fluids in. I still pee orange but I don't feel dehydrated. Walking helps with getting the gas out. I have noticed when I wake up and walk to the potty my joints aren't nearly as stiff and sore as they had been.
We had surgery on the same day the 21st!!!! Whoo hoo. I have my husband to help me get up from sitting; or else I try to roll my body. They gave me liquid hydrocodone and acetaminaphine mixture but I haven't taken that since 530 am. I took motrin for the pain at 950 am and haven't taken anything since then.

Hi, I am meeting my surgeon this week. I'm ready for this but I am so anxious about not being able to drink diet coke. Isn't that crazy? I drink it all day everyday. I know it is terrible for me yet I still do it. Just as I keep making bad food choices. I'm scared that I will go through some sort of withdraw from it. If anyone else has this problem and overcame it please share with me!
I have been a coffee drinker since a very young age. Now that I have had the surgery I don't even want coffee. The hormones that used to tell me that I wanted coffee are just not there anymore. I have no cravings other than for mashed potatoes and gravy.

Just checking in.
We lost my father in law a few weeks ago and its been tough.
My doctors goal was to hit 205 by June 30 and I met that goal on Wednesday! So happy!
My total weight loss since the start of the journey is 57 lbs. I'm over halfway there to my goal weight.
Biggest challenge has been a work conference I took to Detroit. Was lucky and was able to go to a grocery store and pick up some fage Greek yogurt.
I have eaten too much / wrong thing 2 times and threw up both times.
Its so not worth it. I am trying to be very careful about what's going into my body.
The weeks when my FIL was in ICU were the worst. I got off my excercise routine and had to get back on it after the dust settled.
