$600 Bariatric Program Fee
It's on their website but more so geared towards the 6 month supervised diet fee which I totally have no problem with BUT when my insurance required me to do my 6 months through united health care healthy weight program I thought oh ok that fee doesn't apply to me. The coordinator at surgeon office said "well you would still need to pay that fee it will cover your 1 visit with nutritionist and lifetime group membership. I love my surgeon I'm 200% confident in her so I will be paying this fee on the 27th. I just thought $600 was steep considering it's totally out of pocket and not billable to insurance.

$600 Bariatric Program Fee
I just spoke with my friend in Maryland that was sleeved a couple months ago and hers have no fee either and lifetime group support sessions r free. I wonder if this is just an Atlanta thing. My insurance case manager said she's heard of a program fee being charged. $600 seems excessive but I will be paying it on the 27th.

$600 Bariatric Program Fee
My program has a $600 program fee that isn't billable to insurance it's just a total out of pocket fee. My surgeons coordinator states it covers the nutritionist and lifetime group membership. Does anyone else have such a fee and if so how much?

CPAP or BPAP Machine for sleep apnea
Results are in from sleep study and yup I have to sleep on the blasted machine. If anyone is currently sleeping on one of these machines I would love any feedback you can provide on pro's and cons, What type of mask did you find most comfortable, how long did it take you to adjust to sleeping on it, and anything else you would like to share. I am dreading wearing this contraption to bed and I know this sounds ridiculous but you mean In addition to being morbidly obese I have to WEAR THIS TO BED!?? So not sexy at all lol.

Has anyone tried Isopure Protein Drinks?
Noor omg yes I thought it was just me but I thought the grape tasted and smelled like a nasty burp when gunk comes up with it. The apple melon was tolerable but still wasn't good to me. I didn't like the coconut either. All 3 I tried had a horrible after taste. 40 grams of protein for one bottle is great but apple melon so far is the only one I can FORCE myself to drink. I plan to try the nectar pink grapefruit and lemonade this week as they have received raving reviews.

Premier Protein Shakes
Premier Protein is good stuff. Sam's in Atlanta 18.99 for 12 pack. Cosco has a 18 pack for $24 and Premier website has a 24 pack for $37. I'm planning to try the Strawberry which in this area can only be purchased on the Premier website. I wonder how would the vanilla taste is I dumped it in my vita mixer with frozen fruit? I don't think I can do that post-op and I don't start my pre-op liquid diet until March 10th so I think right now that should be ok. Just looking to try something new with it lol.

Encouragement needed preop diet blues
"Never trade what u want most for what u want at the moment" I know this is hard it's darn right tuff but uve come way too far. I truly understand that the struggle is real!!! Hang in there it's so worth it. Maybe take some alone time to ponder why uve chosen to embark upon this WLS journey, maybe view VSG before and after Picts that showcase other people success stories on UTube, or take some time and think about where u will be 3-6 months from now after surgery with ur new tool. I haven't started my pre-op diet yet and I'm not looking forward to it but when the time come I'm sure during that time I may need u to remind me of my own quote above. Hang in there u got this! We r all here for u and understand totally how ur feeling.

Protein Powders
Yes ma'am Sandee I loved it. Online now trying to find the syntrax one u said u liked better than Unjury. Bariwise has a ton of products that seem great for pre & post op like amaretto hot chocolate with like 21-28 grams of protein for 1 cup. Only thing is it contains hydrolyzed gelatin which comes from a pig in most cases and I don't consume pork. I was sooooooo disappointed.

Valentine's Day
He loves a great steak so I'm paying for diner at Ruth Chris and purchased him a bottle of cologne. I had another great present to wrap in a beautiful red bow and present to him but that was rudely interrupted lol
