My body hates me. That is all.

    Texas?

My surgery was done by Dr. Matin. He works out of Grapevine, but my insurance made me go to Plano for the surgery.

They sell isopure zero carb which the bottles have 40g protein and come in variety of fruity flavors. I mix mine with tea/ sf lemonade I hate those Isopure drinks. I haven't found a way it mix them to hide the nastiness. Any suggestions?

Yes! I try not to wear a bra unless I have to. Jeans bother me too, which is kind of weird since my incisions are all at my belly button or higher. I've inky left the house twice since the surgery, so most of the time I'm in stretchy shorts and a tank top.

My stomach growls a lot too. I feel hungry about 50% of the time. I hate it.

Are you dehydrated? That's what I'm afraid of.

Nope. You're not alone. I'm struggling to get the protein in, too. I hate that I have rubs vitamin taste in my mouth all the time. I have a plethora of RTD shakes that are the same flavor and I'm bored. I bought some unflavored protein powder but I could smell it too -- it grossed me out! I think it may be better to mix with food.

Hi guys... I've talked to a few of you on the "before" board but I guess it's time to move to "after." RNY was May 20th. Everything went well and I've been feeling great... until yesterday. I almost fell from feeling faint/weak while making a short walk to the kitchen yesterday afternoon. I went to my bed and didn't do much moving around after that. My legs felt like Jello every time I got up. I didn't sleep at ALL last night. My legs felt restless and I had a lot on my mind. Around 6:00 I got up to take a shower and my legs kept trying to give out on me. I noticed all the veins in my hands are showing, and they look very purple. It's weird. I'm back in bed and crying because I feel weak and miserable and don't know why. Anyone go through anything similar? I'm freaking out a little bit.

I think I experienced dumping syndrome for the first time last night. I felt absolutely terrible -- not something I want to happen again.

I'm only 4 days out from my bypass, but I'm almost always starving too.
  15. I had gastric bypass on Tuesday 5/20 and think I have been recovering pretty well. My big concern is that I still feel hunger pains. I thought that was supposed to go away?

    Why am I hungry?

I think that some of it may be head hunger, but my stomach has been growling almost nonstop for the last two days. It's not gas either. I've been basing my protein drinks around the hunger pains... it kind of helps.

I'm not having that feeling at all, and it worries me. I'm sure you will feel better soon.

Hi all! I finally went into surgery around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. All things considered, I feel pretty great. Last night was rough, but that's what morphine and Zofran are for. I can't really focus on words -- my vision is so blurry from the scopolamine patch -- do this will have to be short, I hope all of my surgery buddies are doing ok!

Thank you. My surgery is at Baylor in Plano, TX. They were able to get me in at the original time for today. I feel a little bad because that means someone else got pushed back... but I'm also incredibly relieved.

The office manager told my husband that everyone in the office is working on getting me rescheduled. I don't know if I believe that or not. My husband is so angry -- he basically told them it has to be today (which sounds really impossible). I'm so angry and upset... can't stop crying. This would be an unexcused absence from work now... my husband has taken 3 days off unpaid to be with me, and we only had childcare for tonight and tomorrow. I don't know what to do, and the waiting is absolutely killing me.

I am bawling my eyes out. Apparently someone changed my surgery time to 7:30 this morning (I was told it was 2:00pm) and now I've missed my surgery. The hospital couldn't wait for me to get there because it would have taken me an hour. I'm just waiting to hear back from my surgeon... can't stop crying.

I'm bouncing off the walls, y'all. 20 hours until I leave for the hospital!

You folks that have to be at the hospital early are sooooo lucky. My surgery isn't until 2:00 on Tuesday! I'm going to be going crazy.

Hey surgery buddy! Where are you from? I'm from New York but live in San Antonio, TX now.Not too far from me... I'm in Dallas.

Not to much stuff. I always over pack. So just a few must haves. Clean clothes, hairbrush, hairband, iPod, magazines. Toothbrush, toothpaste, a lil makeup for the way home. And a pillow for the ride. You?? I don't really know. I know I have to take my CPAP and I want to take some stretchy mesh shorts for comfort. My phone and toiletries... that's about it. I know I'm gonna want more than that though. The hospital is an hour from my house, so I'm a little afraid I'm going to forget something important.
