Hey everybody, I am so excited. My date for my lapband surgery is fast approaching. Its two weeks from today. I am a bit nervous but still excited.

Hi everyone, I had my consultation visit with Dr. Wellborn. My surgery date is Nov. 30. I already have appointments to get my first fill at 6 weeks. I can't hardly wait to get started. I am inspired by many of the post but I think Indigo Girl inspires me the most. Thanks Indigo. I hope I can do as well as you have. Whatever you do, never quit posting. You are very inspiring. I need to know what type of protein shakes do you guys use? There are so many to choose from that I am confused. What about the ones with 40g protein in each shake??:help:

Jacki, Everytime I type the website of Capital One it does not look right. I did not type all the junk about Capital One: Credit Cards, Home & Auto Loans, etc. its just capital one.com and its not the credit card and auto loan part.

Hi Jackie, I am going to use Dr. Clay Wellborn in Little Rock. He was the first surgeon in AR to learn to do the lap band procedure. He does not have these requirements. Now, if you use insurance, most insurance companies do require all that and more. I am self pay. Unfortunately, I have to finance it. I am using Capital One. Capital One: Credit Cards, Home & Auto Loans, Banking, Small Business Credit Card is the website. Look on the left side of the page and click on "healthcare financing". Rates are reasonable. You may already have your form of payment if not going through your insurance company. With Dr. Wellborn, you are required to go to one of his free seminars and to some support group meetings. He is really a nice physician and his staff are great. His office is located on St. Vincent's Hospital campus. Hope things work great for you. Brenda

Hello, Try Capital One. I am using them to finance my band. They have reasonable rates. I think from 1.3% for short term fnancing and up to 9.99% for 5 year financing.

I looked to see the exact date I was there. It was 9/22/07. I can't wait to get my banding done.. Hope I have good success. I wish good success for you too.

I attended the latter part of August if I remember correctly. I don't remember the exact day.

Crabcake, I know this is not a fun thing to do but if your M.D. would prescribe Phenergan suppositories ratjer than the pill form, you can get relief. The phenergan really makes me sleepy though. Good luck to you.

Hello, I am anxious to get my band and get started. Dr. Wellborn in Little Rock is my surgeon. I have been to his seminar and have my packet ready to go in. I went to my primary M.D. today and got the lab done and he is going to do the letter of referral and send along with my records to Dr. Wellborn. I am hoping to get to see Dr. Wellborn soon so maybe I can get my band by the last of Nov. or the first of Dec. Brenda

Indigo Girl, I am so impressed. That really motivates me. I hope I can do as well as you are doing. I can tell how serious you are about this venture. I am serious too. If I pay that much for surgery out of my pocket, I have to be serious.. ha Brenda
