  1. These are inspirational to me. Our height is the same and weight is barely different day of surgery. I hope I do as well as you! I'm only almost four weeks out and the anticipation of getting thinner is killing me!! Do you mind if I ask how old you are and what regimen you followed as far as exercise goes?

Can you still eat in restaurants?

I am in the soft food stage and find it more difficult to eat in restaurants than the liquid stage. If I order soup I can only have the broth due to the drinking while eating rule. Also, I can't do regular chicken breast yet and am not willing to pay $13 for salmon.

  4. I can't wait for that moment! I can't even remember the last time I could cross my legs comfortably. It's gotta be more than 10 years. Congrats on that awesome NSV!!

    Protein shakes

I can't find the Premier shakes anywhere. I don't have a Costco or SAMs membership. Any ideas?
  6. Chugging along in the right direction. Would probly be better if I didn't weigh every day cause sometimes it says I gained a little. HW 320 SW 313 CW 288.8 Surgery 12/17

    The best cottage cheese?

I just had fat free cottage cheese with a teaspoon of seedless raspberry jam and it was amazing.
  10. I'm 3.5 weeks out and am still in quite a bit of pain because of the tethering stitch my surgeon does. I walk comfortably but anything else is pushing it. Everyone is different so follow your own pace and listen to your doctor.
  11. I'm looking forward to all of these things. I'm just so impatient. I should be happy that I've started the journey and the rest will come. I've already changed so much. I quit smoking, kicked my carb craving, decided to leave the job I hate for the one I really want even though it's less money, I'm tracking all of my food, not letting my sometimes boyfriend upset/mistreat me anymore, and soon I'm moving back to Texas where I really want to be. All within the last month. If I can add patience to this list, 2014 will really be the year of the NSV and SV for me.
  12. I can't wait for all of these things! I have been avoiding booths for 5 years, in a seatbelt extender for longer, and have to take a brake between the flights of stairs in my town home.

    Loose skin?

I was wondering the same thing? What helps the skin go away?
  15. Thanks! How much are you down in 7 months? Do you mind saying your HW? How's your skin doing? Sorry I have so many questions.
  16. I went back 9 days later. Too soon. It's been rough and really slowed my recovery.

    4 random post-op questions

Well I'm sure that everyone could answer these questions differently but here's my take: 1. There wasn't really pain when I very first woke up but over the next couple hours just general soreness. I only asked for pain medicine twice while in the hospital for 30 hours. 2. Nope, nakey, nakey. 3. They will help you get there. Using it wasn't as hard as I expected, just lower and raise slowly. 4. Use yours ARMS!! And support your abs with a pillow. And use you back muscles more, but they get sore so I like my heating pad. And don't BEND OVER to pick things up unless you have to. If so go very slowly. Yours may be totally different but that's mine. HW 320 SW 313 CW 291 22 pounds in 22 days!!

    Lower Abdominal Pain

I'm praying that mine will be suddenly gone too. It's at a constant 3-4 on the pain scale then when I tweak it it shoots up to a 7-8. Can't wait to just be able to get up off my bed with out screaming.

    Lower Abdominal Pain

Did it steadily get better? Mine keeps getting better then worse again then better...... Yesterday I almost felt like normal but today I could barely handle sitting at my desk. The pain takes my breath away if I'm not careful. Going on 11 days now, so hoping this stitch will pop or whatever will happen so it stops. I'm starting to get really frustrated.

what kind of scale do you have?

The scale I had before was not good at all so when I heard about the aria I got it at the same time as I got my force. What I like about it is that it's not only incredibly accurate but the tracking is awesome. I can see the ups, downs, stalls immediately and can correct my diet and Water intake to try to jump start things again. The only thing is that it is incredibly expensive for a scale. But if it's in your budget, yes I highly recommend it.

what kind of scale do you have?

I have the aria scaled from Fitbit. It talks to my app, my fit bit, checks weight and bmi. I love it.

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I don't know if it's the tethering stitch or just the inner stitches but that pain is awful and bending over is impossible. I've been dealing with it for 10 days and it's finally getting better. I'm 31 and active too so I have my own case of cabin fever. The things I have found that help it are sleeping on your back and making sure you can't roll over at all. Tossing and turning seems to make it way worse. Also walking seems to help loosen it up. I never know when it is going to tweak so I am just very careful with everything I do. I hope it is getting better, it seems to be. I had to start sleeping on my sofa to make sure I would not roll over and that seems to be helping. Good luck to you, just be prepared to wait a while for it to go away.

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

They should put "no picking up dog toys" in the surgery instructions!! That was what happened to me too!!! Except now it's been 8 days and I'm still in pain!! Good luck with the bladder infection, they are the worst!
