  1. Gaskins, that's still early and with all the IV fluid they pump in you. Be patient.
  2. I would reach out to your doctor and ask to work with a nut or psychologist. While I think that nothing has to be completely off the table, eating garbage every day is a problem as I know my goal is not just weight loss but health. I am having a bit of trouble too and will be taking my own advise.
  3. Hi Beth, I am losing weight at your pace. I felt like you and thought it was slow. However as long as I am losing I will be happy with that.
  4. Hi, I am really paying for pushing the restrictions. I have had two painful lessons in the last few days. Because I have been having issues with the first bites getting stuck and having to spit it up. So I usually have more food on my plate because of this. I know I'm eating to fast and will have to wait several minutes between bites along with limiting the amount to a half cup. Let me tell you when you have to lay down in pain and want to vomit for an hour....but it happened twice guess I am hard headed.
  5. Hi, don't leave as I am sure you will find this forum to be helpful. A lot of us are new and don't feel confident answering but it doesn't mean that you are ignored.
  6. I would like to be at my goal weight of 125.
  7. Wow that is incredibly sad that she would stoop to that. This so reminds me of an alcoholic that never grew up and progressed and lashes out like an adolescent.
  8. My NSV was to easily walk to my lower garden, which is a steep hill and back up the hill without a problem.
  9. It certainly was cause I got a taste of dumping too, lol.
  10. Hate to admit but I have been having cravings and when I tried to sneak a few bites of something I knew I shouldn't eat it seems like my throat closes up and will not let it past my throat.... I then have to let it back up. I don't believe this has to do with my pouch as it feels like its in my throat and I have a bit of trouble with breath until it's gone.... Is this what you guys experience?
  11. It's very normal. To be honest I was ready to get off the gurney and run but thought that I have been trying to lose weight for a year and only managed 15 lbs. I needed another tool.
  12. My weight loss was the same for that time. Don't worry.
  13. For me with iPad, under My Surgery, you will see hour screen eg. My name "Hi Kata13". Click on that and you will see ticker as an option.
  14. It's an electrical cord that plugs in the electrical socket that's has a plug at the end. It allows you to lengthen your power cords.
  15. Congrats! My DS was the same day.
  16. Yes, I think you are right then. It's too bad that fellow sisters can't be encouraging.
  17. They may be afraid to say anything since they don't know what surgery you had. Some people are secretive when they have cancer surgery and when people see weight loss it's not always for the best.
  18. I have to spit up if I eat to fast. Have to eat smaller bites and wait to make sure the bite goes down.
  19. I lost 10lbs from my surgery weight within the first week and now it's between 3 to 5 lbs a week. I had my surgery 12/26/13 so it's still new and my body is healing. I am also one of the rare people that can tolerate regular food. I had some flank steak and fish already.
  20. From what I see , It really depends on each person and what weight they are at and what stage they are in.
  21. Sorry for being a whiner......I think everyone is in fear that they will be the exception and not lose weight. I've also wondered if my pouch was made small enough....or if the dr didn't really do the surgery and only made incisions. It's crazy the thoughts and fears that come out. Thanks for listening.
  22. Two weeks out and got my hair cut and colored and then a mani/pedi the following day. Nice to treat myself with something besides food.
  23. I had two to three injections and barely felt it.
