  1. You look amazing! Congratulations on your success.
  2. After a completely shitty day yesterday today is so much better! I had my staples and my G tube removed! I had a girlfriend drive me in so that I could take pain meds. I put some baby Orajel on my incision and I did not feel much at all!! My incision had a big gap so they had to super glue it hopefully that heals well. No showers for a few days. Overall my Dr was very pleased. Today I can eat and drink I am going to go back on puréed foods this week even though I had clearance for soft food. After yesterday's rough day I don't want to push it!
  3. Welcome home!! So glad to hear everything went well! I only lost 3.2lbs this last week .
  4. I am 14 days post op. I go on my treadmill 3X a day for 15 min.
  5. Congratulations!! You look great!!
  6. Today I made myself a soft scrambled egg with a tiny bit of shredded cheese 1 slice of tomato 1 thin slice of avocado for breakfast. It looked so yummy!! I had 2 tiny bites of avocado 1 tiny bite of tomato and 3 small bites of egg whamo it's stuck!! So much pain!! I had to make my self throw it up! Yuck!! Then I finally felt a bit better. Anybody else experience "stuck" yet? How do you deal with it? Did I try to much to fast? I am so turned off of food right now. I just want to curl up and sleep !
  7. Good luck to all of you having surgery this week! May you have a quick recovery! Looking froward to having you join us on the losers bench!
  8. I tried to swallow my vitamins today for the first time. I cut them in half at home and stuck them in my purse to take at my sons swimming lesson. Oh my word they got stuck good and proper! What pain!! I thought I would puke and pass out at the same time:(! I tried walking around no luck then I stuck my finger down my throat and only a bit came up but at least I started feeling a bit better! I will definitely continue grinding them up for a few weeks yet!! Damn horse pills! I just wanna sleep now but I still have along drive once swimming is done!
  9. I am having chicken chowder blended of course!! My girlfriend made us supper!!
  10. I have not walked since I was discharged last Friday. I hate the deep freeze -40ish with windchill . And very slippery roads and sidewalks! I am very afraid of slipping and ripping my staples out. I have been sitting feeling guilty for not walking then 2 days ago my husband asks what I want for my Birthday and today there is a treadmill in my van waiting for my husband and another strong man to bring it in!! So excited to set it up and move!! I love that I can just go out and buy my own gift lol!
  11. Awesome!!! How often do you weigh yourself?
  12. Thanks for all the updates! Wow you all look amazing!! This is what I am looking forward to! Surgery date was 01/20/14.

  14. LL sorry to hear you are depressed . 5 lbs a week is great! Avoid the scale, pick a day and that is the only day you should weigh yourself. Can u up your calorie intake by mixing your shakes with milk? I currently get 400-500 calories a day. Shakes with milk, 1 yogurt, cream of wheat made with milk, and a cream soup. What are you eating right now? Stay strong, drink lots of water and stay focused on the long term. We are all here for you!
  15. Thank you thank you thank you!!
  16. Hi I am 8 days post op I am journaling on MFP. Can someone please tell me if I can change the calorie intake as well as the protein intake on it? As well how to do it if it's possible. Thanks!
  17. The minute I came home I could have had sex!! Course I have to wait a few weeks . I don't even want to kiss my husband these days cause that almost always leads us to the bedroom. Patience patience lol
  18. Hi Rinny, I have thyroid/ Graves' disease I currently take synthroid daily. I had radiation treatment for my goitre. I had open RNY Jan 20th, last week! So far I love it! I am down 20lbs since the 1st. I know with thyroid we have a harder time losing but I am going to stay focused and positive and just keep pushing!! Do you have a surgery date?
  19. Looks like I need to make a cross border trip soon .
  20. Awesome job!! Way to go those are amazing results!
  21. My husband wants to know what section of walmart he could find Isopure? Thanks
  22. Thank you for your help! So far today I have had 4 oz skim milk and 2 oz yogurt and lots of water. It's 3pm here, I think I will be in trouble .
  23. I was told that I needed between 60-73 grs a day. I will get my husband to check and see if walmart carries Isopure in Canada tomorrow. If not maybe I can get a website that will deliver to Canada. I know how important it is to get the daily protein and I am willing to try something at least once! I tried applesauce with non flavoured P powder. It was so gross I had to spit it out :{. Thanks!
  24. Yeah losers bench!! I finally came home last night after 6 days away from family. What a sweet reunion! I have lost 8.5lbs since surgery on the 20th! I am on full fluid but the though of eating or drinking anything other then water today is grossing me out! I have 33 staples that I am looking forward to having removed as well as the G tube. Welcome all fellow January losers! Good luck on your journey!
