Does anyone know about the final steps from the hospitals point of view what could hender me from going forward? Meaning blood work, ekg, etc..... I'm so excited and anything now woud crush me if my date would change.

  2. Hello All,

I started this journey in December 2013. I have completed my 3 nut classes and my pysc evaluation. On Tuesday I go in for my reassessment with the doctor. I am a little bit nervous beause 3 weeks ago I was in te hospital because my sugar from my diabetes was at 400. So I guess Im wondering if this will stop me from getting the suegery. I am now on 2 different types of insulin and this sticking myself 3 times a day is staring to get on my nerves. Has anyone had problems with having sugar problems and your surgery did not happen? Help.....

  3. Hey Kelly i have a 3 month wait. I statred this journey in December when I went to see te doctor. I just finished my 2nd of 3 nutritional classes. The waiting has nt been as bad since I found this site. All of the information is just great becuase it gives you pros and cons, it tells you of the good and bad experiences and it also helps you to see what are someof the things you may or may not endure. Time has really moved quickly becausse I look at thi site everyday as wel as others. I cant wait for my journey to begin. Good luck its right around the corner!

  4. Be encouraged when I first weighed in I was at 232. At my 1st nutritional visit I was at 236. I asked the same question and boy was I scared. I have Aetna and she just told me be sure not gain anymore weight. I have my 2nd nutritional visit on Wednesday and I am praying that I have not gained anything by there scales. U should be ok. Check with the insurance company and see what your limits are. Good Luck

  5. Blondiee is right. I just started as well. I had my first nutrition class in January and my second one is coming up in February. I don't reply to much but the information in this forum is just great. It has helped me move on a little it further. After February I have one more nutrition class and I hope to have my gastric bypass sometime in April. I also had a concern about my weight and I was told by my insurance adjuster that they do stick with the weight I started with. Though I am not doing anything drastic to drop a whole lot of weight but I am getting my body ready fro the surgery! Good luck, this too will pass!
