  1. Just had to share my great NSV this weekend with you guys.....went to a wedding this weekend. First of all, usually hate these types of social events since you need to "dress up", but not this time! Got a new outfit that not only looked great, but it was comfortable too....hubby told me I looked great several times:biggrin1: . Then to top things off....I danced all night long and had a blast. I have not danced at a social event for years, but last night I "cut a rug", my friends. Felt confident, felt good and had fun....life is good!!!!

  2. Thank you everyone....I truly don't know what I would do without your support!!

I feel better already since I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror and said "wow, look how well I have done so far" (thanks, Vines).

Tomorrow morning I will start my day with positive thoughts, some exercise and a pat on the back for my weight loss so far:D

  3. Things have been very slow since the beginning of January and I am getting bummed:cry . I don't know why....well, maybe I do....I have been munching on petezels, rice cakes, chex mix....too much, but still not huge amounts of the stuff. I try to stick to the actual serving size.

I have good resriction, can't seem to stick with any execise program, thinking about food more again.....feeling discouraged.

I know we all hit plateaus and perhaps that is what is happening, but it's still discouraging....

  4. Here is my 2 cents on the Dr. Ortiz thread.....

I look at this "situation" as an insurance issue as opposed to a Mexico vs. U.S. doctors issue.

FIRST of all, I will say that I was very, very, very luckily as my insurance company, Humana, covered my surgery....I thank Humana for their wisdom.

Now.....if other insurance companies were as wise, obese individuals with co-morbidites would be able to look for the best doctors IN THE U.S.A. to perform their surgery and PROVIDE AFTERCARE.

Who goes to Mexico for WLS surgery? Those who had to self-pay! If you went to Mexico for your WLS would you have gone to Mexico if your

    insurance covered your surgery??!!!

We don't need to argue about Mexico vs. USA, we need to take this energy and fight the insurance companies who do not cover WLS!!!

    Just my opinion.....

  5. I have been dealing with that damn head hunger for about 3 weeks now and it is really throwing me off. O.K., does this make sense....I have been thinking so much about food AGAIN (like, but not as bad as pre-band days) that I am losing track of what I am eating and what I was just thinking about eating??!!....am I nuts or what? I typically use fitday.com everyday, but it is downloaded on my husband's computer which is not up and running since a new floor is going into his office.....I really miss it and can't wait to start logging my daily food again. But, this is no excuse!!!

I hate this friggin' head hunger....hate it, hate it, hate it......why is it rearing it's ugly head?????:)

  6. Wow, love your pictures....you are beautiful. And thanks for sharing your story.....it is an honor knowing you!

O.K., this "love at first sight" thing.....GIRL, IT CAN HAPPEN:eek: . It happend to me over 16 years ago.....I met on husband on a Saturday, on that Monday he asked me to marriage him and that Wednesday he bought me an engagement ring.....we married one year later.....it's been over 16 years and one wonderful daughter......IT CAN HAPPEN:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

  7. Hi Gang....

We took a little vacation since my daughter had a couple of days off school....we went to "America's Largest Waterpark" town....Wisconsin Dells. My daughter loves to go to the Wilderness Resort up there and when her report card is excellent she gets to go. I have always dreaded the Dells trips since they consist of watereparks which equals swimsuits!!! BUT, not this time.....I felt comfortable and stayed in the pool area much more than I ususally do. I really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. AND I had two NSV's while there....first of all, my swimsuit was almost too big to wear and second, I fit in the innertube on the lazy river and had room to spare:eek: . It was very exciting....
