  1. I'm questioning what have I done to myself...I can barely handle this pain on my chest whenever I drink water.. went to walgreens and bought some zentac...to see if it helps. I also noticed I was not mentally ready for this surgery (sleeved Dec 18th 2013) I want to eat.. and have tasted sweet potato, mash potatoes. ..but I feel terrible. I don't want any more Protein Shakes or broth. I don't know what to do. All I can do is pray...There is no turning back I know..I just want to feel better and eat what I want without pain..sorry don't mean discourage anyone I just don't know what else to do

Meamo, I was feeling the same. Still have struggles. I used to drink a lot of Water before surgery and now I cramp in my chest when drinking it. I find that diluting Isopure in the Water helps. I use maybe 1/8 Isopure zero and 7/8 water.

I cannot get down the full strength isopure yet.

    It will get better,

  2. I'm up tomorrow along with a number of other sleevers-- good luck to us all!

I was just reading some of the older portions of this thread, looking for similarities in what has been reported. Not surprising, the one thing that I am going to hold on to over the next week is the message that "It will get better. The discomfort is only temporary." I'm counting on this one.

Again, thanks for all of the posts that you've all made as this really has greased the skids, so to speak, for the rest of us.

My surgery is at 7:15 in the morning. I'll post as I can and appreciate prayers from any of you.

Yeah us! I'm nervous and excited. Can't wait to sit on the happily-sleeved-and-recovering-smoothly bench!

  3. Didn't know about the swallow test AFTER surgery. It sucked before surgery. I can't even imagine having to do it with my new stomach.

@Raerae CONGRTULATIONS! I know you must be happy and anxious. I think a shorter wait time til surgery is the best thing. I cannot imagine how some of the other sleevers waited for months for the date to arrive. I'm stressing out and it's only 3 days away!

  4. Hello everyone,

This is my first post. My name is Raine. I've been lurking and reading and reading some more. I've been approved for surgery using the tips you put out there. My surgery is scheduled for Monday 12/23 and will be an awesome Christmas present. I'm nervous, happy, freaking out and ready. I just wanted to stop by, say hello and tell each of you thank you. I'll be reaching out and asking for help as the process continues. I'm really excited about 2-14.
