  1. Hello All, Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I even looked up Borland and Umbach. But today, my insurance was verified and guess what... I HAVE COVERAGE!!! I am so happy that I wont have to self pay. I have a Pre-Op appointment on 01/10/2012. I will keep everyone informed probably in another thread or topic. Thanks again everyone!
  2. All I can say is WOW! You look great!. This is certainly inspirational for me to see. At 11 months post op, you are doing an amazing job. And that dress is fabulous! Well done and keep up the good work!
  3. How awesome that you are ready to exercise! And the elliptical no less! I imagine that I would want to build up to that intensity after my surgery because although you might feel good on the outside...you just had a major change on the inside and your stomach needs time to heal. But I guess if your doctor says it's okay, then it's okay! Good Luck to you!!!
  4. Hello All, I am looking for anyone in the Houston area that is considering the sleeve for either here or in Mexico. I want the surgery sometime in February or early March. If my insurance does not approve me, then I will be heading to Mexico to have surgery there with a reputable Dr. Maybe we can support one another locally!
  5. How are you feeling? And how was your surgery in Mexico? Update when you feel up to it. Thanks!
  6. Good Luck and keep us posted! I am sure you will do great! By the way: What hotel are you staying in? I am considering my surgery in Mexico.
  7. I too am looking into Mexico so I don't have much insight to share with you on that just yet. Here in Texas the self pay cost is too much for me. I wouldn't trust financing if your credit is not good. I have read some horror stories on these forums and on the internet about certain companies that do poor credit financing. If you have good credit, I recommend going through a bank for a loan. Best of luck!
  8. Is there anyone here that had there surgery in Mexico and was able to do follow up visits in the states? Are there any doctors in Houston that anyone knows of that is willing to take on patient post care?
  9. Good luck to you! When is your surgery?
  10. I was wondering the same thing, about the long term effect of the staples! I will follow the post to see if anyone else can shed some light on the situation.
  11. I am considering Dr. Mirza as well
  12. Thanks! I will look up both of those doctors.
  13. I am actively considering the sleeve procedure. I am researching extensively. I have insurance that will kick in on 01/01/14 but I think there might be an exclusion in my policy. Is there anyone from the Houston area that can tell me if they paid cash and what is the price? I would even travel to another state in the US. I am saving Mexico as my last resort but it is still an option. Any info would be appreciated.
