    Starting Up

    Asphalt Angel is coming to town Feb 6 and we are going to dinner at Red Lobster 6:30pm (band friendly foods). If anyone wants to join us, please come. I need some major support right now - I've been stuck for 100 years - okay - maybe 3 months and need a kick in the rear. Celeste
  3. Feb 1 goals and results 1. Walk 30 minutes - failed 2. No food after 8 - yeah, I did it!! 3. Journal my snacking - failed 4. Send off med reimbursement request - in progress 5. Work on them darn to do lists - in progress Feb 2 goals 1. Walk 60 minutes 2. No food after 8 3. Restrict snacking 4. Finish med reimbursement
  4. Jan 31 goals 1. Walk 60 minutes - done 2. No food after 7 - blew it 3. Journal my food - blew it 4. Start organizing to do lists - organized my medical reimbursement file Feb 1 goals 1. Walk 30 minutes 2. No food after 8 (this may be more realistic for me) 3. Journal my snacking 4. Send off med reimbursement request 5. Work on them darn to do lists

    I'll try anything to keep me from eating!

    Michelle, even with my band, night time eating is killing me. I haven't lost since Oct 15 and have gained 4 pounds now from my signature. I hate it. Your idea is great - my problem is I haven't lost enough to feel like I look good in the after picture. Please keep coming up with ideas and posting them so I can use them too. Good luck. Celeste

    Silly Fill Question

    My first fill was 1 cc in a 4 cc band and I had no restriction. The dr then brought me up to 1.5. At the office I was able to swallow Water fine but by the next day I couldn't keep anything inside and had to have some removed. Don't rush the dr in overfilling you. Also, some people don't get restriction at the time of the fill but it kicks in a week or so later. For me, I am very sensitive to heat and had to have an untill last month to go on vacation - and I still struggled. Hang in there. This is a process and takes time. Good luck. Celeste

    Calling tattoed bandsters!

    I have the following tattoos 1) a rose with 3 cherries and a snake wrapped around it on my rear 2) an armadillo on the top of my right foot 3) a butterfly sitting on a waterlily with a phoenix rising behind if on my right breast 4) A shovelhead engine with pipes and flames on my stomach I used to get a new tattoo or something added on when I had a memorable event in my life. I got my last tattoo in 1985 - hmmmm, I guess that means my life has been boring for 21 years... Celeste

    NSV and ramblings

    I went to the bar to a motorcycle club party for an hour yesterday. It was the first time in over 2 years that I have been out in the town I live in. I just got too self conscious about being fat and then too much out of touch to go out. I don't see myself going out alot or partying until closing but a little socializing once in awhile will work. It never bothered me to go out alone because I rode motorcycle for the last 25 years. There wasn't any other women to go with back then. I also worked out of town alot and got used to going places by myself. Yet, all of the sudden I didn't want to be out and seen because of my size. The strange part is it will probably be one of the last time I see many of these people. I think the job in Malawi Africa may come through in the next few weeks. This is the first time that I have been able to admit this and I don't think I could do it verbally. Moving all alone to a primitive country to work on fiscal accountability and enforcement will be challenging. I am out looking for an on/off road bike to take with and plan to have something else shipped later if it is feasible to ride the roads. I wouldn't have gone at my old weight. My health was declining and not having medical facilities in the country would have been difficult. Even though my weight has stalled for the past 3 months, I think I'm over the mental issues that caused it and I'm going to give it all I've got from now on. When I leave, I want to have to buy a new wardrobe. Getting one there is going to be difficult. Thanks LBT for being here for support, giving me a place to ramble, and some place to acknowledge that I'm glad I went out yesterday. NSVs rock. Celeste

    Rabbits and Turtles United New Year Challenge

    I haven't lost anything since Oct 15 and have gained two pounds but at least its only 2 - so I guess that's a kind of victory. NSV - Went out to a party. I have started journaling everything - as of yesterday. At least I will be confessing my mistakes.

    Congratulations!! But I am a bit jealous. When they were picking their lead singer, I actually watched tv. And danced away to some of the songs!!! How cool for you and getting a new car too. Good for you. Enjoy and Celebrate.

Thursday goal progress Thursday goal 1) 60 minutes of walking - did 57 minutes 2) I'm going to a dinner at 8 tonight so I want to practice control - did not happen - ate bruschetta, bread, salmon, cheesecake, drank way more wine than one person should... Friday goal 1) Get money for vacation 2) 20 minutes of exercise 3) I'm invited to a lobster and crab dinner tonight - Goal - skip the butter 4) Start packing

    got behind on sweet spot?

    my fill guy explained that if you lose fat around the band area, you will get looser. he also told me that even though I haven't lost weight, he can tell I am losing the fat around my port. It projects out and is much easier to access. maybe something like that is happening with you...

Wednesday goal 1) pick out floor tile and counter top for bathroom --DONE!! 2) no eating after 8 and stay awake until 11 - blew it!! 3) 70 minues of exercise - DONE!! 4) try on clothes for vacation & buy what I need!!! - kinda done Thursday goal 1) 60 minutes of walking 2) I'm going to a dinner at 8 tonight so I want to practice control okay, my goals are a little lame today but I will try better Friday.

Wednesday goal 1) pick out floor tile and counter top for bathroom --DONE!! 2) no eating after 8 and stay awake until 11 3) 70 minues of exercise - DONE!! 4) try on clothes for vacation ---yikes, I'm going to Mexico for 12 days and I have nothing that fits,,,what if my capris fall off when I"m on the top of a ruin...so lets add that I need to buy what I need!!!

    Look at that change. You looked great in your heavy pictures but you are definately looking foxy now. You should be proud of your accomplishment - plus look at how great you have done since surgery. Thanks for sharing. Celeste

Yesterday's goals Today's goals 1) face the music - weight gain - when I see the surgeon and nutritionist today - done - no weight gain - hold even 2) 40 minutes on the treadmill - done plus 15 minute walk w/ steps 3) pick out medicine cabinet, toilet topper, blind, towel racks, floor tile, counter top for bathroom (this may take 2 days) - medicine cabinet, toilet topper, blind done 4) not eat after 8 - got home at 7:30, started eating, and went to sleep before I finished so I guess that counts (I have to start getting sleep at night) 5) remember to relax and unwind - no Wednesday goal 1) pick out floor tile and counter top for bathroom 2) no eating after 8 and stay awake until 11 3) 70 minues of exercise 4) try on clothes for vacation ---yikes, I'm going to Mexico for 12 days and I have nothing that fits,,,what if my capris fall off when I"m on the top of a ruin...so lets add that I need to buy what I need!!! I love this thread. It makes me accountable for my daily goals...
