I have a Premier Protein shake for Breakfast... 30 gr protein and 170 cal. At lunch, I make protein ice cream with another shake, I add 1 scoop of a Protein powder which has 23 gr protein. That is 30 x 2 + 23. That is 83 grams. Then for my other meal I have either a small amount of bison which is loaded in protein, you have had a small amount of most any lean meat. The 3rd meal I have Greek Yogurt and cottage cheese, all low fat of course. I drink well over 100 oz of Water. I COULD have some soft veggies but I haven't wanted any and would rather have the yogurt and CC. The Greek yogurt is about 6-8 gr protein, depending on how much I eat, that is about 45 cal. The CC is high in protein and I use about 2 Tb maybe.

I didn't set a goal, my doctor did. I thought it was too low as well but he said we will see -
I am just following my doctors very strict program. I get about 90 gr protein a day and I also drink at least 100 oz water. I do not crave or get hungry

2 weeks post op struggling with a capital fail

You are only failing this because of the choices you are making. I continue to prepare my husbands favorite foods and there are women here who have to cook for their families. You may be throwing up because of what you are eating that your body isn't ready for. BACK AWAY FROM THE BAD FOOD!! LOL Try to stick with the plan, it was easier for me knowing that if I ate something I wasn't ready for, I would puke, and who wants to puke?? -

I am not bashing anyone who went to Mexico. I have a friend who did, she admits she does not get the follow up that people do who have surgeons here. But she had no insurance. I think this site is for others to share ideas and to offer support, we should not give medical advice.....I always say "ck with YOUR doctor". One thing I have learned from this site and others is the vast difference of each doctor and their plan. -

How are you getting your protein? Are you getting the required amount? My doctor still has me on about 400 cal a day and surgery was Feb 26. But I get about 90 gr of protein a day and I drink over 100 oz of water. If you are only drinking milk then you are getting too many calories and not enough protein. -

If one has surgery in Mexico and says "No followups needed unless it is a tummy tuck or something like that", then no wonder ....well you know. Read the profile. It isn't so as mentioned before. PM me if you are confused. -
We can't be all things to all people. We have to go our own "journey" and make decisions on our own.....and really it is none of her business

I did a lot of research but I paid my doctor the big bucks because he does this for a living, not on a message board. You DID give medical advice......btw...ck your spelling before you speak of "professionalism". As someone else said.....we follow our doctors advice because they KNOW us and our unique case. We do not all fit into your cookie cutter. I thought you were done posting here. I am going to "unfollow" this post but if I knew who to report you to on this board, I would do so. -
If I was bored here....I just wouldn't come here

I disagree with you. I prefer to listen to MY DOCTOR who has a VERY stringent plan and I have followed it to a T. I don't really think you should be giving medical advice here -
Well I don't do game shows and if we call it a "trip" instead of a "Journey" then we sound like druggies.
