  1. I can probably fit my wallet in my bra it's so loose. Time for a round of new ones. Also down from a size 22 pants into size 11 which is getting big also. Time for a size 9. Best feeling ever. Also having a lot of people notice my 84lbs loss. I tell them thank you for noticing. Feels good to have someone acknowledge my success.
  2. Doing research online I found that studies show gastric bypass patients lose and average of 70% of their excess weight. Is that pretty accurate? What are your results?
  3. I am 41 years old and 5'3". I chose 140 as that is the high of normal bmi range. I would be thrilled to be less. I am currently at 167 so I'm getting close.
  4. I have had the 30% reduced sugar slurpee. No problems. I have about a half a small one once in awhile. I find the regular ones are way too sweet for me now.
  5. If anyone had ever said anything to me about my weight I would have punched them in the nose. Well I would have wanted to anyways. It's offensive to bring up someone's weight. It's their business and their struggle. If they ask for your help or opinion that's another story though. Otherwise zip it.
  6. Non scale victory.
  7. I also live in alberta. Had my surgery in Medicine Hat. Wasn't really a wait time. Just had to go through the processes of appointments. Initial Appt was aug 2013. Had surgery jan 2014.
  8. I agree. Hot! Congrats.
  9. Hello all. Happy to report that today I dropped out of the obese category and into overweight. Happy happy happy. 28lbs to goal!
  10. Love the aria scale. Wirelessly links to fitbit app to track your weight.
  11. Thanks for the recipe I'm going to make them tomorrow
  12. Other then being morbidly obese I had no other health problems. My father however is also morbidly obese and I am honestly surprised he is still with us. He has had double heart bypass. He needed a quadruple bypass but they couldn't find enough good veins to use because he is so large. He also has diabetes and many other weight related health problems. I could see myself going down his path and I wasn't going to have it. I am post op 4 months. Down 80 lbs. I am one pound away from dropping into the overweight category. So happy. Want to lose 30 more pounds. And yes. I love the attention. People complimenting me telling me how great I look. Started wearing makeup again and buying cute clothes. It's hard to feel beautiful when you feel like a whale.
  13. When the nurse was doing my check in at the hospital on my surgery day she actually tried to talk me out of surgery because "your not that big". I wanted to tell her off. I had lost 40 pounds pre op. My decision for surgery was between my doctor and I not her. Also I was obviously big enough because it was covered by my health care.
  14. Yes it also took me months to get my energy level back. About three months and I was pretty much back to normal
  15. I loved my fitbit. Unfortunately so did my dog. She chewed it beyond repair. Luckily the company is going to send me a new one free of charge. Such great customer service. Jus waiting for it to arrive. Yahoo.
  16. I am 4 months out and lost slowly since the start. But it's still coming off. Slowly but surely. That's what is important. It took me years to get the size I was so I'm okay with it being slow.
  17. Surgery jan 21/14. Lost 40 lbs before and 40 more lbs since. Currently at 170. And rocking a size 11-13. Yahoo
  18. I am able to eat pizza. Crust too. But now I have one small piece as opposed to half the pie.
  19. How is everyone doing? As for me, I am doing well. Still losing, slowly though. But I am 32 lbs from goal so that is to be expected.
  20. I'm 5'3. Started at size 22. Currently in size 10. I am 30 pounds from goal. I would say size six would be ideal. At goal I would probably be an eight. But that would be at the high end of normal bmi.
  21. Recently rejoined eharmony. I have been single for 14 years. Focused on raising my kids. Now they are mostly grown. I am 36 lbs from goal weight and my self esteem has increased by a million. I dress Nicely again and wear makeup and do my hair nice. I still have a hard time finding men. Not desperate but would sure like to find a decent guy.
  22. It would however be an excellent opportunity for them to follow a complete story. Like help her with plastics and show how healthy she is now. I am starting to get the saggy skin and I will keep it covered. But I would rather have saggy skin and a healthy body than what I had before.
  23. Why are people surprised that they wouldn't print the picture. Seriously. It's not attractive. Magazines want fit healthy and attractive. Glad she has the balls to wear a bikini but not everyone wants to see that.
  24. My dog chewed up my fitbit. Can't wait to get a new one. I have the scale also. It's so handy.
  25. That's great news. Hope all goes well. Take care
