hi sorry for the later reply. How did the baby effect the weight loss for youLove your glasses Pjones! I was banded in 2011 and just had a baby a year ago so I'm trying to get back into it! I don't have a scale at my house anymore so I'm only checking my weight when I see my doctor

Thank you how do you feel so far?

I'm doing ok so far 3 months post op I'm down 24 pds. I need to start working out more than I feel like this is a reason I'm stalling. With the throwing up it could be that you band is too fullI was doing great at first but I'm only down 35 lbs. I'm frustrated with it because I feel like it stopped working. I get sick a lot and for the amount I throw up I should be anorexic. So I'm kind of lost at the moment. What about you?

I'm now a part of the banded club. I started the day learning my liquid diet paid off. 18 pounds. In one week. Now to heal. I'm not a fan of the gas pains, but these will pass. I'm staying in the nursing home tonight (sleep apnea), but I've walked several laps around the hall. Good times. I'm on my second bottle of Water and had a little broth and Jello.< /p>
Welcome to the other side man. Yeah just walk around you'll be fine and watch how that weights falls off. Week 3 post op and I'm down 20 pds

well to the other side lol. You'll probably be out of it tonight but first thing tomorrow get up and starry to walk aroundWell I have to say as far as I can tell right now everything went really well. I was in at 630 and out by noon. A nausea and soreness at the incision site, but beyond that I am doing pretty well. I haven't drank much, so I'm going to focus on that this evening. Thank you for all the well wishes and thoughts. It so nice to know there are people on your side!

Yeah I was trying to figure that out myself. It could be that some ppl have. Fatty lover so they want it a bit smaller come surgery time so that there aren't any problems

you'll see man. Another thing you have on your side is that men drop weight like Water. Three days post op and honestly 6 down already no working outIt is good to see another guy going through this, relatively at the same time. I'm looking forward to the surgery and even more to the life to follow. Let me know how you progress!

Hi everyone,

I'm a 41 year old man being banded on January 27th. I'm excited to begin my new life, but nervous at the same time that it won't work for me. I have had trouble with my weight my entire life and nothing has seemed to work in the long term. In choosing the band, I liked the fact that if for some reason I fell off the wagon my doctor could tighten me up and we could start over again.

Finally another guy in January! I got banded a couple days ago and feel great about where this is gonna go. Just stay true to what your surgeon tells you and you'll lose the weight.

Congrats mzeboni! I know you have been waiting and ready

Hello. So I get in the OR and the nurse tells me she's gonna hook me up to a mask. It was the c pap machine and it was a super tight one. You keep it on the whole time until they give you the medicine to go under. They then intibated me.
-
Thanks you guys it was super easy. Only discomfort was the c pap machine prior to going under. Excited for all and waiting for you to come on over to the other side

Why are your surgery's getting cancelled? Because of the weather? Well guess I'll be going in alone tomorrow. Nervous but excited nervous.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone on here. I'm getting banded on January 7th and I'm excited and nervous about it. I was wondering why some of you guys picked the band. I decided on it because in your 20's I feel like I can lose the weight and the skin can snap back too.

I understand. We all have set backs on this process. Just get back to the Protein and working and you'll be fine
