  1. I didn't leave, I was banned for sticking up for someone and then blocked. I had no plans to leave but im not about subjecting people to what happened. I am about supporting everyone for who they are and what their personal journey is. I am sorry you can not do that too. It saddens me that you have to act like you did to feel better about yourself. No one deserves to be scrutinized or publicly attacked no one! I never left you banned me for having my opinion on how it was poorly handled! Three active members left because of your lack of being able to support everyone. Just because you have 43 members doesn't mean anything. Only maybe 10-15 are active and 3 of the best were banned and blocked from no ones choice but your own.

No one deserves to feel like how you made people feel during this stressful and important time in their life. I am sure you deleted everything but I saved every bit of it so keep on I am going to people who won't treat people like you do/did.

It is by far from a rant but a warning for people who want a supportive group no matter what they choose is important for them and their journey you should love everyone for who they are not only the ones who agree with how you view things.

(FYI you still responded to the "rant")

  2. DO NOT JOIN THE Facebook GROUP!!

The person running it is FAR from supportive of everyone's journey she just banned two people from the group over a joke that she took way to far even though the people involved saw no issues.

You can not have your own journey in there its her way or your banned.

Everyone's journey is different, has different requirements, and different opinions that should be supported as a group and no one needs to feel singled out because of it.

The vibe changed drastically over a period of one night. I doubt it will be the same it was again.

What's the point in banning people for sticking up for others or because they have a different journey than you?!

We are all into this TOGETHER!!

  3. So I am required to lose 10lbs before surgery and I wouldn't think of it as a problem if I didn't have a severe pain disorder.

I decided to make sure I lose the 10lbs before surgery that instead of a 1 day liquid diet which is required for my surgery I am going to do a 7 week liquid diet since my nutritionist mentioned that a lot of people do 7 days instead of 1.

I am not really doing it for the fat around my Liver since my current diet consists of lots of vegetables, and lean meats I don't think my liver will be very fatty.

For those who have done the liquid diet what kinds of things did you eat/drink?

  4. Okay, so I am in the final stretch for my surgery (need to update my profile here because I switch from bypass to sleeve!) and when I was setting up my appointments needed before I put it into insurance one of the requirements my surgeons office gave me was 2 year weight document history.

Is this absolutely required and will having only 18 months hinder my insurance accepting it?

My BMI is over 55 and I have several health problems that could benefit out of surgery so I am hoping all those combined that 18 months will work. I havnt even been seeing my doctor for 2 years that's why I have only 18.

I'm so worried I will have to wait till 24 months after started this journey November 2013. Feb-August 2013 I didnt get consecutive visits because I had unexplained severe swelling making me unable to walk let alone make consistent visits without a car.

Of course my doctor has all of that information too, and the struggles of trying to find out whats wrong and all the lab results and x rays and mris from urgent care, him, and the ER so maybe that will help.

Okay sorry for rambling its early Lol

    Thanks so much!

  5. He is one of the first surgeons in the Maryland area to do a Laproscopic RNY so I have no doubt he can take care of me, I chose mostly because it seemed like complications are much less, and I personally don't mind if I have to get a little more done a year later as I have already had gallbladder surgery. The nurse was telling me people are losing even more with the sleeve and comes in at a close second.

Just wondering if there is other high BMI doing sleeve and not RNY and why.

  6. Did anyone with a high BMI decide on a sleeve instead of gastric bypass and why?

I orignally was going to get an RNY until I met with my surgeon the nurse explained he does more sleeves nowadays and has less risks and if I don't lose as much as I need to by one year they will shorten the small inestines to continue weight loss. So, upon her advice I decided for the sleeve only problem is I spent months researching RNY not the sleeve and sadly I can't find as many awesome youtube channels for sleeves with a higher BMI.
