I went to Mexico because there is a 6 year wait list in St. John's Newfoundland to get the surgery done. I was able to decide when I wanted to get it done and scheduled it when it was convenient for me.

I didn't have a chance to post yesterday but I did weigh. Finally a drop! I'm 262.6.

I am 6 weeks out and keep going up and down within the same 5 pounds! I weight daily and am so frustrated with this! I thought I was supposed to lose quickly the first few months? I'm getting in two Protein Shakes a day, Protein at every meal and not snacking in-between. I don't have the room! Glad to hear that others are having the same issues.

I had my first NSV the other day. My 10 year old daughter put her arms around my waist and said, " Mom! I can get my arms right around you and clasp my hands together!" I have to say, I was elated at her delight and the fact that she noticed she could do that and told me!

I would think you need to be on Solids. So whenever that is for you. All doctors are different.
Worried about slow loss

I began my pre-op diet on Nov. 11th 2013 and I weighed 297 pounds. As of today I am 257 pounds. That's a 40 pound weight loss. I feel like I am losing slow, however, my doctor is pleased with my progress so far. I have also heard it is better for your skin.
