  1. Oh I also do the b12 shot once a month! All is well, I'm down 40 from surgery and I believe a total of 94lbs. My quality of life has already improved so much. Another 100 to go but hey I'm halfway there!
  2. I take the gummy one a day for women. And I take adora calcium. Grats on the fabulous loss!!!

Lmao what is a Coochie cutter, I must know.
  6. Yes!!! I too had not had any back pain before but had it until about 5 weeks post op. Heating pad and stretching helps. Hope you feel better soon.
  7. Absolutely! I had/have no weight related issues. Granted I knew it was inevitable at the rate I was going that they would arise and soon. I'm 24 years old, I hate being fat. I want to have a family some day. And I was tired of being the pretty face. I want to be gorgeous damn it. And not gigantic.
  8. I am two months out and so far averaging 5lbs a week. 20lbs a month. Hope this phase lasts awhile! Pre op I was 347, day of surgery 293, today 253. Goodluck!
  9. I have always loved well seasoned and spicy foods. I had surgery march 24th and I find I like minimal spices now. Just basics, but not bland. It's different when you have to chew chew chew your food. Idk how long id like to chew chew chew a jalapeño you know? Lol. To answer your question though, I do fine tolerating spicy food, it was just better when I inhaled my food pre op. You may find your taste buds changing anyway. A lot of my pre op favorites repulse me now, even the smells.
  10. You know I have seen pics of some of those package deal Vegas weddings and they are beautiful! They have come a long way.
  11. We call him "glitter paws"
  12. Koa, my fur baby. The greatest companion a girl could have.
  13. I had surgery march 24th and of course when I was just out of surgery I would get 350-550 a day. Now I am at about 800-900 but my doctor and nut said I really need to get to 1200 a day.
  14. Sneak it in. Lol. My doctor issued me a bariatric card I am supposed to carry on me at all times in case of an emergency so whoever treats me knows I'm postoperative malabsorption. But it can also be used when dining out. Maybe your dr has something they can offer you? Someone amongst the boards posted a website where you can print out a card an have your surgeon sign it. I forgot the info to the site though as I already have one. If all else fails.. My purse has become more of a vitamin/snack bag then a purse.
  15. Why stress and get upset about things that are out of your control? Not worth it, especially over things that are inevitable. Although some topics may be repetitive, each thread is unique and just as valuable as the first. Offering new, old, good, bad and ugly information. Everyone has their own story, everyone is unique... Which I do believe qualifies them for there own unique (or not) topic. You will not find any support group, club, forums...that do not have repetitive threads and information.
  16. Just ate and didn't chew well enough, and I am having the stuck issue too. This is my third time ever that it has happened to me. Once on just a small bite of crab meat, once on a large bite of what seemed to be too dry of chicken, and now on a taco which I took two bites and didn't chew well enough because I was rushing. Ugh I wish I could puke it hurts so bad, making my mouth salivate. It's a waiting game. Oh and I haven't eaten those items again, just because the discomfort I felt is so bad I am put off. Even though two of the three times for sure were my fault...and could probably be avoided if I chew better. I think they traumatized me. Lol. So glad you have found relief!!
  17. Thank you all so much for your replies. I need to do whatever I want and makes me happy and not care what others will think. After all it is my day. Thank you all for the reassurance, kind words, and beautiful stories.
  18. Yes especially when I eat or drink. It's like it starts it's engine lol
  19. HAs anyone gotten married at a courthouse and had a reception later? Here's the thing... I have absolutely no desire, to plan or stress about a wedding. My family has been feuding for over ten years so none of them would show in fear of the others being there. His family isn't part of our lives because we aren't religious... And most of our friends have moved out of state. But most importantly I have no desire to be the center of attention or stress/plan one. I was thinking either marrying at a courthouse and having like a party later or just eloping. Was just wondering if anyone did the same... Was it still romantic? Do you regret it?
  20. I just had my surgery at the sunnyside kaiser in clackamas with dr. Kim on march 24th
  21. I didn't have the same insurance but I did think I was going to get denied... I thought every day something would come up or get in the way of my surgery. I had doubts even when they were prepping me for surgery. It wasn't until i woke up with a bypass that I stopped doubting it.
  22. My freckles are moving closer together! :-O
