    Marijuana

For those of you who use marijuana for medicinal or recreational purposes... How have the 'munchies' affected you post op? -for those of you who are anti-marijuana, your negativity on the topic is unwelcome.

    March 2014 Surgery!

I had an awesome phone call today moving me to the next stage of food (was supposed to be on Monday) I cried. Lol so emotional. Anyway I had like no food because I've been on liquids. So I scrambled up some things and made a tuna mousse with double protein cream cheese I had. Some lemon, a tsp o sour cream just to moisten (didn't have mayo), dash of Tabasco, some pepper... Put a tbsp on a cracker with some melted cheese and it was heavenly lol ahhh substance

    Calcium Suggestions

My dr told me it doesn't matter which calcium you take just get your calcium in. He said their has been a lot of speculation as to which we absorb better but neither one is significantly different than the other.

    Post Op March 2014

This is why it's important to get your protein in and do at least 15 minutes of activity a day. By exercising you tell your body you want to burn fat and not lean muscle.

    March 2014 Losers

A lot of people do Wendy's chili, my nut said it was ok too
  13. They told me no protein supplements after then either. To get my protein from whole foods. They also told me to wait a month before taking my multivitamin. I got sent home with 40 of the small percocet, the ones with no Tylenol. As soon as I got constipated I quit using them. My weight restriction is no more than 10lbs for 6 weeks! I wish I had yours cuz my laundry weighs more than 10 lbs, I have to make extra trips lol.. Oh well I guess the walking is good!!! Good luck on your surgery! I will be thinking of you!! Can't wait to read more updates from you.

    Headaches?

I got them throughout my pre op liquid diet and I know it wasn't because of no caffeine because I have been caffeine free for like a year. On those days broth seemed to help. So far post op I haven't had any headaches.

    Post Op March 2014

My surgery was also the 24th and I've been averaging 350 calories a day too... Yesterday I hit 410 which was an all time high. I talked to my nut and she said I'm right on track, that seems to be the norm this early out. She said i won't be getting all my fluids or protein yet but keep trying. She said I'll probably eat around 500 calories up to one month post op. So just stay hydrated and keep trying!

    Post Op March 2014

Step away from the scale! Lol let yourself heal, plus they pumped you full of fluids to have some reserves when you went home. I was almost 10lbs heavier leaving the hospital then when I went in, by day 3 I was even with my pre op weight, I'd lost that water weight but they say most people hold onto it a little longer, I've just got young kidneys. Take a deep breath, this process will work for you, let your body heal. <3
  21. You are in my thoughts! Sending positive vibes your way! Have a nice sleep!!! Your world is about to change as you know it!
  22. I slept 30 min the night before surgery and I wish I took some melatonin and slept more because the three days in the hospital they woke me up every 15-30 min. The day I left my fiancée was like do u want me to go pick this up then come get you and I was like noooo get me the hell out of here so I can sleep lol
