I just had my surgery at the sunnyside kaiser in clackamas with dr. Kim on march 24th
-
I didn't have the same insurance but I did think I was going to get denied... I thought every day something would come up or get in the way of my surgery. I had doubts even when they were prepping me for surgery. It wasn't until i woke up with a bypass that I stopped doubting it.

I know she had lost a daughter so hopefully they are reunited -
Mine too! Somedays I feel like I have a lot less restriction... Other days the thought of food or act of eating makes me want to gag... And some days I just want liquids. So weird.

I know that she had complications during surgery and they ended up having to do an open instead of laparascopic and remove her gallbladder at the same time which they didn't plan on doing. She died within a week or so after. I haven't received any information on the cause of death yet. I kept in contact with her daily via MFP. Her family hasn't mentioned the cause on Facebook and I didn't want to be the one to ask. I wasn't aware of any other medical conditions prior. -
is it a fart... nope, it's poop, adult diapers, really?

I have heard of this happening but mostly during the liquid eating phases. Even heard of people pooping the bed...personally I am a month out and neither have happened to me. I have had relatively normal BM's and my farts are the same lol. I wonder if she is eating something that simply isn't agreeing with her or if it is related to said colon problem. 5 months seems like a long time, I'd be going to the doctor. -

I am not sure if any of you are aware but one of our April surgeries passed away. Let's keep claw0416's family in our thoughts and prayers. -

My only issue was the gas pains which lasted about 3 days after surgery. Day 6 I was constipated and that was painful. Since then it's been smooth sailing except for lack of energy but I am sure at a desk job you will be fine. -
Ahhh the inlaws... Or in my case outlaws. Yeah... They don't like me because I am not Christian. -rolls eyes-

I threw up chicken last night. So far only a bad reaction to crab and chicken.

I am 3 weeks out now and this last week I have had terrible terrible lower back pains... It's my tailbone area.. I've been on a heating pad for days and it is becoming unbearable... Anyone experience anything like this?

That is what I was moved to two weeks post op made my life feel so much more normal being able to eat food!

The slower you lose the less excess skin! That's good right! I have always been a faster loser with any program or diet I have done. I think it's partly because of my age.. I'll be 24 tomorrow. But you really need to get that water in to flush out the ketones. For those of you who have that nasty flippen taste in your mouth, tastes like metallic or an aluminum can... I have found the more water I drink to flush out those ketones the better it is. I'm not cleared to go back to the gym yet but I have a black lab who keeps me busy on the leash and I've been parking far away and taking the stairs every chance I get.

I stalled for 5 days, scale finally moved last night.
-
Errr I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and down 20lbs since surgery. Can't really complain but am no where near my protein goal. Hitting water goal fine though.

Not everyone dumps for a month my dr had me on something with close to 30g of sugar, including the morning after surgery... And two weeks following... I had no problem as far as getting sick.. I just didn't like it because it was too sweet for my tastes.

Tell him to eat 600 calories! Like really! REALLY!!!! Gah, hang in there and stick to your plan, it will move. Don't let others around you who dont understand discourage you any further, stay strong.

Yikes...i love wendys chili...but dont think you want to introduce any spicy foods at this point....of course you would have to puree it...but thinking the sodium content is too high as well...you have to slowww down hon...im anxious too to have reg meals but think of this 6 month period of changing your lifestyle....not sabbotaging yourself.....you can refrain!!! I started adding Tabasco sauce in my purée phase and had spicy chili, didn't bother me
