    a bad feeling....

I didn't have the same insurance but I did think I was going to get denied... I thought every day something would come up or get in the way of my surgery. I had doubts even when they were prepping me for surgery. It wasn't until i woke up with a bypass that I stopped doubting it.

    The Fickle Pouch

Mine too! Somedays I feel like I have a lot less restriction... Other days the thought of food or act of eating makes me want to gag... And some days I just want liquids. So weird.

    April 2014 pre-op group

I know that she had complications during surgery and they ended up having to do an open instead of laparascopic and remove her gallbladder at the same time which they didn't plan on doing. She died within a week or so after. I haven't received any information on the cause of death yet. I kept in contact with her daily via MFP. Her family hasn't mentioned the cause on Facebook and I didn't want to be the one to ask. I wasn't aware of any other medical conditions prior.
  7. I have heard of this happening but mostly during the liquid eating phases. Even heard of people pooping the bed...personally I am a month out and neither have happened to me. I have had relatively normal BM's and my farts are the same lol. I wonder if she is eating something that simply isn't agreeing with her or if it is related to said colon problem. 5 months seems like a long time, I'd be going to the doctor.

I am not sure if any of you are aware but one of our April surgeries passed away. Let's keep claw0416's family in our thoughts and prayers.

    bypass expectations

My only issue was the gas pains which lasted about 3 days after surgery. Day 6 I was constipated and that was painful. Since then it's been smooth sailing except for lack of energy but I am sure at a desk job you will be fine.

The slower you lose the less excess skin! That's good right! I have always been a faster loser with any program or diet I have done. I think it's partly because of my age.. I'll be 24 tomorrow. But you really need to get that water in to flush out the ketones. For those of you who have that nasty flippen taste in your mouth, tastes like metallic or an aluminum can... I have found the more water I drink to flush out those ketones the better it is. I'm not cleared to go back to the gym yet but I have a black lab who keeps me busy on the leash and I've been parking far away and taking the stairs every chance I get.

    Protein powders

Not everyone dumps for a month my dr had me on something with close to 30g of sugar, including the morning after surgery... And two weeks following... I had no problem as far as getting sick.. I just didn't like it because it was too sweet for my tastes.

    March 2014 Losers

Yikes...i love wendys chili...but dont think you want to introduce any spicy foods at this point....of course you would have to puree it...but thinking the sodium content is too high as well...you have to slowww down hon...im anxious too to have reg meals but think of this 6 month period of changing your lifestyle....not sabbotaging yourself.....you can refrain!!! I started adding Tabasco sauce in my purée phase and had spicy chili, didn't bother me
