Me too I need all tips I am 7 days post

I have too much acid today and cramps didn't change anything in my routine from past days am I doing something wrong ?

Today day 6 post ops and still I'm liquids but I have cramps today more than any other and unable get gases out I feel slight burn in end of my throat any advise ?

Hi all , I am Suzy from Cairo Egypt. Here things are bit different in process than what I read here. My doctor didn't ask me to do any pre diet before the surgery at all actually I followed what I read here and online. Insurance considers this cosmetic surgery so it's not covered at all. We don't have all the nice protein shakes so we have to make them up I have scheduled the surgery three times in past month once with visiting doc from uk who really is the one I thank for bringing me to where I am now and explained everything to me yet had family and financial emergency so couldn't make while he was here. So met with a local doctor and we set a date but got sick so we cancelled and can't tell you I had mixed feelings not sure if I was frustrated it's being cancelled or happy as it maybe a sign that it won't work for me. I guess the two time cancellation is what really gave me freaks ... Long story short I called my doc on New Year's Eve and he suggested to do next day and I just did it 1-1-2014 . Milestone 1 celebration yeaay finally done . Spent 4 days in hospital the first day was so painful to the extent I was starting to have regrets but today 5 days post I can hardly remember what I felt. Lost 5kg don't know how many pounds that is to date from surgery another celebration and able get down some fluids well I hope I continue to be well am starting feel good spiritually . Well guys I am 5 days post today.. Just a flash back I wrote the this post while I was preparing for surgery just an hour or so, I remember being moved in the surgery room lying on the trolley still having doubts I was waiting for just a chance for anyone to tell me it won't work today go home. I have been through 4 surgeries before this one and was always the lion heart no idea why the fear was haunting me this time . Well anyway I went through the surgery and I will be honest the 1st day was not so good at all I was in so much pain and I think I slept through it from the meds the doc said he did two in one as my stomach had twisted and slipped up in my esophagus so he adjusted it along with sleeve. The 2nd day was better yet still in pain was able to move and respond but my only trouble was getting my gases out and drain I had in my side. I remained in hospital till day 4 but I had improved so much with sipping the liquids and all , I was released yesterday and being at home is like I am new person I am more active, happier, enjoying my shakes and jello yum Ok to sum up my pain is better, incisions still sore bit of pain, sleeping is still difficult yet liquids and protein shakes not bad to get down . Not large amounts though and I feel pretty soon I will be better. No more pain meds thank god.

I am in my room waiting for them to come take me, part of me wants to run away and internally so scared dunno , the fear of the unknown once you wake . Will I be ok ? Will I have complications ? Will I get my gas out ?

Mine too is tomorrow so terrified yet can't wait for worse to be over and see the results

My new date is set 30 Dec any advice on shakes to get after surgery I am from Egypt and will order online yet not sure which is good

Need your advice why go with the sleeve not the band ?

I got bronchitis and my dr postponed the surgery till my breathing is better feel so numb now don't know if this is good news or bad news

Guys I am being sleeved next week and my dr didn't ask me to do the diet and I am worried since I see many of u on protein drinks and so on

Wish the best for you I am wondering is it the right thing then read all results and get excited

What's on your mind ? I am getting a lot of mixed excitement and fear and mostly afraid of what could go wrong , the pain and how long go back to work
